very true. then there are situations like mine where every game is a home game since there are absolutely no venues around. but hey i guess since some think it was unethical to start talking deals 6 hours before the set is release my friends and i will not be allowed the chance to trade for a piece that will never appear around here otherwise.

while I totally agree that it seems as if you were singled out for your thread and that the comments posted were unnecessary, I don't think its in your best interest to make additional comments about said mod in your new trade thread.

I have to do this. Since my thread got shut down, one person has already backed out of a trade because they assumed that my thread being shut down meant that I was not a trustworthy person.

I have ALL positive trader feedback, but this person was new to trading and thought the closure of my thread somehow reflected my character.

Gotta agree. Just leave your new thread generic without calling anybody out. If you get personal in it, then some may lose interest in trying to work with you.

It does seem completely unfair to shut down one thread and not the others. Also, it's possible to get figures before release without any wrongdoing. I was the only one that pre-ordered any Heroclix at the comic shop in my neighborhood, so when the black lanterns came, and the store owner didn't have any use for them, he just gave them to me. (We don't have organized play here due to the interest consisting almost solely of me. Although I'm working on that.) I'm sure there are plenty of other people out there that have obtained figures prior to release for similar reasons.

So why don't you just use the Have/Want feature?

Just list stuff you'll actually trade (because if you won't trade it nobody really cares if you've got it....).

That way, anybody can take a look - without having to sift through the actual trade forum.

rules are rules even though they aren't rules mmmkay.

Irregardless of this there were Auctions for figures like Black Hand, Nekron & the Bats/Catwoman Duo being posted almost two weeks prior to the release. Yet these weren't taken down or stopped.

So how is the OP's situation any different?
