Hello everybody! it's time for another bout of uneducated guesses and random extrapolation!
most sets after Avengers have had a heavy hitting character occupy a common slot (ultimate iron man, emperor joker, Thor, Colossus) BatB had hawkman/atom (good enough), do you think WoS will have any common big players?
I can't think of anyone good because all the big choices were recently made in the last few sets and i can't picture them remaking them this soon.
maybe eddie brock venom? companies think he's popular.
If they make it in the set, I would say: Juggernaut, Rogue, or Rhino.
There hasn't been a new version of the Juggernaut since Fantastic Forces. Over 14 sets ago (7 Marvel). In 2005. I like new characters, but it's not exactly like a remake is unwarranted.
Agreed. I just hope they get the sculpt right. That Fantastic Forces set remains the gold standard and Juggernaut was the gem of the set - the Cytorrak Gem to be exact. This is one case where I am as concerned about the quality of the sculpt as I am the dial underneath it.
May all your hits be crits!

Rogue would be amazing. Talk about a character that has needed a remake since SPs were introduced. Something like the orange lantern Lex.
All she would really need is that power with Exploit Weakness in place of Outwit. Maybe a something like a free action once per turn to copy an adjacent friendly. She doesn't borrow ally's powers time to time.
You aren't holding your breath, are you?
The Uni-Powered Spider-man wasn't around for long, and if they want a common Spidey, I would expect a more mundane version.
I would be surprised if Red Hulk is a common.
I could see Juggernaut being a common, and casting my vote for him. I used to love playing with the old Juggy.
Also maybe a new Scarlet Spider?
Red Hulk is either common or rare, and he was the first figure that popped into my mind.
Well, the second, anyway, but I figure if they do the Hulk as an AE with Banner, then Banner would be common and Hulk likely an uncommon, so he is out of the equation.
Iron patriot is also a possibility. Norman is uncommon, though, with GG as a SR, so if they go the AE route there, I could see IP as a rare.
Maybe it will be the IM/WM duo. Anything to keep it from being a chase figure.
You don't even know who it's going to be, so why even throw names around?? You didn't even know who the chases would be in BITB!! Please!!

What?
If I do not know, then it implies that you do, so speak up.
Otherwise this thread is speculative by it's nature, so whatever your problem, get over it.
Let's say three damage, 9 attack, Super Strength, and Invuln.
For less than 50 points. With possibly Mystics TA. Guesses?
Generic Mindless Ones. It would be great to get them as one of the generics, and we have enough mystics now to make it worthwhile. Also, Baron Mordo and Dormammu are showing up a bit now in Marvel, so it isn't impossible to see one of them as a leader.

Something to keep in mind is that all the big gun commons from the past few sets have also headlined their own book or are alternate-universe (but still mainstream) versions of exceptionally popular characters. Oh...and Skrull Ms. Marvel. I forgot her. OK, that changes things.
In which case...I still strongly doubt that Rhino will be "that guy." Juggernaut? Maybe. It may also be that there is no high-and-mighty Thor or Ms. Marvel equivalent at the common level - that certainly hasn't been the case with the DC sets, so why does it have to happen with Marvel? It's possible that we'll see a few more figures like Secret Invasion Spider-Man or Justice League Batman.
I'm in Providence! I've been out of the hobby, but I'm looking for Saturday gaming. Send me a PM if you know the down-low!
