People may be asking for $30 but I doubt anyone is getting that for him. A buy-it-now price on ebay is rarely an indicator of actual market value. Online stores are also bad to jack prices stupid high. Cap is probably "selling" for something closer to $10-15. Do a search on eBay and check completed listings.

Btw, as far as a anti-Nightcrawler. Bullseye+Thunderbolts=silver bullet. Cap is good but he would struggle against shape-change, 19d, and super senses.

the rarity on a figure is the just how hard it it to get doesnt neccesarily mean how good it is.

Yeah I had an extra displayed on my desk at work because he looks cool but for the price he was going for it seemed stupid to just let him sit there so I traded that one and another extra I had just sitting at home in to an online store for $17. I was able to get $130 of trade in credit just from HOT CUR... used that to buy the rest of the SRs from WOS that I was missing.

Ok. I just looked him up and adding up all the recent completed listings has him averaging $24. That is pretty sick for a rare.

Totally agree about Bullseye. Get him the Ultimates TA and Nightcrawler is in deep do-do. Seen it in action.

Relavent to topic - Played a 300 point Martial Artist team using Bullseye, Cap, & Gamora. High defense and just loads of offense, even if you have to plow through some impervious 1 D at a time.

And HoT Cap is better than the majority of Super Rares. Sure - you can beat him. BUT you are better using him on any team that he fits on than not using him (find me a better soldier, martial artist, Avenger for 72 points for any of those theme teams).

Limited print run & sold out set that is HoT - I can see the $15 price tag.

I have to thank my friend here that he was willing to trade his extra for one of my extra rares back on release day of HOT. I did not pull a Cap A in 1 case of HOT and he was my favourite figure when he got leaked in the Avengers poster
