Because that's what they've done to my beloved Black Panther. I don't think it's even possible for it to be fixed. At least Mephisto's magic can theoretically be undone one day.
Joey Q is once again the bane and savior of Marvel.

BTW - Ox, Dan and Montana are all pretty lame for Spidey. They're more into Daredevil.
I still remember reading the Fancy Dan, Ox and Montana storylines in Spidey back in the day and really enjoying them.

Yeah, the first few were good, but they didn't come into their own till they started going after Daredevil.
Enforcers Vs Spidey is like Captain America, without a shield going up against the Hulk after Hulk found out Cap changed all the presets on Hulk's car radio, adjusted the mirrors, left some Red Skull stains in the back seat, left a half eaten burrito on the passenger seat AND didn't even bother to fill the tank. That'd be one PO'd Hulk.
I think we can all agree that, just like the Green Goblin, it depends which Hobgoblin we're talking about when we use the label 'classic'.
Roderick Kinglesy? Yes
Every other Hobgoblin? No (I'm tempted to give Macendale a pass, but he lost me when he became a cyber-Hobgoblin)
Funny thing about Roderick. I wasn't a Hobby fan at first and less so when it was revealed that Ned Leeds was the Hobgoblin. It was after the reveal that it was Roderick and I went and reread those early Hobby appearances and I thought it was pretty good for a retcon.
The only real problem I had was that he enhanced Norman's formula and was supposed to be stronger then Norman, but when the two met up, Norman seemed a lot stronger. Tho, Kingsley did note that Norman was really whacko and that might've been what made him seem stronger then Kingsley.
As for Macendale... They tried so often to power him up. And when they did, they screwed up some how. Even with his being given the enhancement from Kraven's formula, which writers forgot about in his later appearances, he was always showing up as a loser. And the Cyber-Goblin bit was just too much. It was better that he died.
You know, every time I read posts with people complaining about Spidey's reboot, I feel like I can definitely relate because the same thing was done to my favourite character. Unfortunately there doesn't even seem to be any reason why Black Panther's continuity was completely messed up, except for he got a writer who couldn't be bothered with his past continuity, so I can't help but feel that is much worse.
Imagine if Spidey's origin was changed so that:
- Aunt May died instead of Uncle Ben
- He has a little sister instead of being an only child. That sister later takes on the Spider-Girl mantle.
- 'The Mugger' is given super-powers.
- He marries Ms. Marvel instead of Mary Jane.

You are completely correct. I bought the first 5 issues of the new Panther run, and i was so confused and angered that I did stop buying. I actually asked my comic book owner if it was supposed to be an ultimate title. I hung on hoping they would explain the change somewhere, and then I just couldn't do it anymore. I am sorry they did that to your favorite character. I have always thought that Panther was a very interesting character, great costume, and a cool idea for a protector. I like what they are doing with him on the Avengers Animated show, you should check it out.

There is no such thing as a conservative hero.
"You lost today kid, but you don't have to like it!"
Hobgoblin is always kinda iconic cause Mark Hamill did his voice in the Spider-Man Animated Show in the 90s. Come on. Mark Hamill. He has a Jedi Master voice, he has to be somewhat iconic to deserve that, right?

Does anyone have the full story that can give us a full picture of what we know about this death thing? News story or a post from a writer or editor on a message board or blog somewhere? AKA, the source of where this death story is coming from?
I love Ramos. Sad to see the hate for him. His stuff even got me to read that nonsensical Venom story in like 2003 (Still waiting on that one to be resolved )

Yeah I'm looking forward to Avengers Animated. No idea when it'll be out here in Australia though.
At least all the OHOTMU and Marvel.com entries are still using T'challa's original origin. But I can't believe they made an animated movie based on the new one. Ugh!
Looking forward to Black Panther: The Man Without Fear. From what I've seen, it seems to be ignoring most of the dumb stuff of recent history.
Christ did not come to condemn the world, but to save it.

I've actually managed to merge Priest's continuity with the Doom War stuff (just don't think about Lady Panther hard and it works, she's a fine character, really) and it feels right in my head. Hudlin's run is just *POOF*
