The X-Leader Cyclops can use Leadership. When any friendly character uses the X-Men team ability, heal 2 damage instead of 1. Attack: Concussive Blast Cyclops can use Force Blast. When he uses Force Blast after actions resolve, if his target's defense value is now 16 or less, he deals damage to his target equal to half of his d6 roll for Force Blast.
What damage reducers should he have? He's just a regular guy that is a great leader that shoots from his eyes. He's gets knocked down quite often, so I think that's a good dial..
I love his trait. I know see Nightcrawler pushing around to grab people to bring over to Cyclops to blast them. Wolverine will heal up Nightcrawler and then he'll be healing himself.
There's almost no reason to have any Support power at all for a X-men team after this. Swap 2 healing for 1 damage. I'll take that. Carry on.
Looking at their dials...what are the odds of them being AEs. Notice how the dials are built sort of like 2 half dials like Etrigan and Bats and WW.
Think maybe a Diamond Frost that goes Psychic? A backline support Cyclops before he goes into battle?
I'm kinda hoping that a Beast Boy-esque trait for switching between this and a diamond form has been missed off the report of Emma's dial, rather than an alter-ego. That would make her dial awesome for me.
The 4 damage on Cyclops looks pretty reasonable considering those optic blasts prolly hurt worse close up than at range. Sharpshooter makes that feel even closer to being right. Now all we need is a Wolverine that is comic book faithful with a special power allowing him to be in 10.2 billion places at once as everyone knows he's the real multiple (issue) man.

Scott's is awesome as it is.
Actually... Morph makes PERFECT sense for her. *Crosses Fingers*
Ultimate Cyclops and his 4 natural damage says hi!
Besides, why would Cyclops ever use his fist, foot or head in any situation? If anything, giving Cyke RCE is the inaccurate part as he can blast someone with his eyes from point-blank range just as easily as he can from a distance. Getting up in Scott's face *usually* isn't a good way to avoid getting optic-blasted!

I'm not the biggest XMen fan on the block, but I can tell you that between his optic blasts and tactical abilities at least one click of four on Cyclops sounds ok!

I don't think that the OP realized that Cyclops had the symbol which from a certain standpoint makes sense with the 4 damage. What if the ability is outwitted (because that never happens in the comics ) or he is based with someone who has stealth or the Batman Ally TA while in hindering terrain. Should Cyclops be able to punch someone just as hard as Colossus and do as much damage?

If Cyclops can punch someone, he can eyebeam them. Yes, his opponent gets to use Combat Reflexes (if they have it), but it's not like someone who's proficient at dodging up-close attacks suddenly sucks because they're getting shot at with an eye blast rather than a fist. There are any number of ways to fanwank things to have it make sense.
You want to outwit Cyclops' optic blast? Perplex his damage down.
I'm in Providence! I've been out of the hobby, but I'm looking for Saturday gaming. Send me a PM if you know the down-low!

Yeah, I guess he makes sense in terms of the current comics, but to me he will always be Scott "Slim" Summers, an awkward teenager afraid to tell the pretty redhead he likes her, especially with the handsome and wealthy WWIII around! Ah the Silver Age angst!
I miss Stan Lee SO MUCH!!!
But yeah, the dial rocks! This version of Cyclops will bring back X-Men theme teams! (but I still long for the good old days!)

Then Cyclops will make a close-combat attack WITH his optic blast and do the same kind of damage Colossus could make with his fists.
