"These are the people Luthor's crew were running from?" said Wolverine as Cyclops blasted Wonder Woman into a wall and knocked her out. "I just don't see it."

"I don't think this is their entire organization, Logan." said Jean Grey. "Nor their most powerful."

BREEEP! BREEEP! BREEEP! went the motion alam on Jo'nn's cell-and then a wind as Barry raced past them, steaking to where the Boom tube was, even as Wonder Woman stood up, and dusted herself off.

"You have gave a good account of yourself, mutants," she said, even as Barry streaked in again to evac outy Black Canary and Green Arrow. "But as you can see, my associate was playing possum during the battle so that he could concentrate on getting our friend out unhindered." More wind singled him getting Adam Strange and Reddy out, then he was standing next to Wonder Woman.

"I got the others out, and told the other 2 teams to leave." said the Flash. "We are ready to go."

"But how did you get him out?" said Bishop, as a cop, being interested in such things.

"It took awhile-two or three minutes to find the right frequency to vibrate at that it couldn't compenstate for fast enough so that I vibrated a portal for J'onn to get through, then the rest-well, I am the Fastest Man Alive."

"Tell Luthor thank you for keeping him alive, but HE and the others WILL be brought to justice for the murder of the Justice Society International." said Wonder Woman. "Now, we have no quarrel with you. As you see, my friend (and to be honest myself as well), has the speed to leave without engaging you further. Can we do so?"

"Listen star shorts," Wolverine began before Scott cut him off.

"You are right." said Cyclops. "My telepatsh might have a thrat to your speedster- but one is out of play and the other is sucking on fumes. Logan, Bishop and I might be able to match up against the Amazon, but I'm betting not for long, with Logan of course lasting the longest. I see no reason for that fight. Go, I will deal with Luthor." A gust of wind, and the 2 Leaguers were gone!


"What was that?" Wolverine was besides himself . "We were winning when there were 6 of them, we could have taken just two!"

"Mon ami, Did you see how the fast one was taken down before at the beginning?" Gambit said. Jean tossed him up there and caught him nappinp. Now, Rouge is pinned behind an iron door and he is very much aware. As for the Amazon, I think it's very possible she could take us all out. Given the right circumstances."

"Are you saying we didn't have a chance, Gumbo?" wolverine said as he calmed down.

"Please." said Cyclops. "We have video proof of us kicking Luthor's greatest enemies asses. That, at least, is worth bragging rights." Scott said with a smile.

"And if he blows up the island in frustrated anger?" said Betsy as she used her psyic knife to cut herself out of the knot she had been put into.

"I'm working on it." Cyclops said.
