I really would like to see anime clix. I've grown up with both anime and western comics/cartoons. I feel it could fit in clix but they would have to be careful because like others have said on this thread most anime/manga has either God like characters or everyone is pretty much the same. I think if they made one set with a bunch of different characters and try to use people that were not the same or too powerful.
Right now I actually make custom anime clix. Though its tuff to find sculpts to modify into certain characters.
I think the reason to make Anime clix wouldn't so much be for our sake, but more to possibly get some part of the Japanese market. It would be a good time to do it now too as Marvel have had some animes recently: Ironman, Wolverine, X-men and Blade is coming up. So they might be able to get a tie in there. Models are very popular in Japan, the main issue would be if they are high enough quality to sell there. But it looks like they put a lot of work into making the Street Fighter ones look good so I guess they may be checking the Japanese market with them.
I vote for Anime Collectors sets only. This way they could be avoided by non fans and my 'Fist of the Northstar' characters wouldn't get rubbed all over by those Bleach dorks.
Kenshiro BTW needs the old HSS multi-hit power and a 'kills outright' special rule. Just saying.
Maybe a full anime set would be cool as long as it wasn't flooded with one show's worth of characters. "Look! I got Tetsuo! and... Rock Lee, Naruto, Sasuke and Orochimaru... Great..."
Well, I've only been here a year and I've seen a dozen threads discussing anime clix. There's a Gundam thread going on right now!
It's not a bad idea, depending on the anime in question. Bleach or any of the Shonen fighting anime would be a good fit. Many others really wouldn't. Something like FLCL would be hard if not outright impossible to do, given the way it dances around reality. Is our lead character a normal human being or someone who can deflect fireballs from space with a baseball bat? Yes. Sorta... whatever.
Anything with fighting machines probably isn't going to work very well, in my opinion. Those would need their own game with their own rules, and stuffing them into HeroClix would hurt both.
That's the problem I see. You can probably get some play out of some of them but not all of them. Dragonballz probably comes to mind as the most compatible as you have characters that can display varied point values of Heroclix.
Anything mecha would probably have to be seperate game that's non-compatible (or built as collossals, that could get expensive...) though if you did do Gundam Clix (compatible or not) and used a few of my favorites in like a series of blind/non-blind Super boosters at 20-25 dollars, I wouldn't mind drop some money on like 4 of them. (Even as a seperate game using the clix base that could be very interesting)

Or they could just make them giants.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

FLCL needs its own game.
I would actually buy the FLCL game. Just saying.
Some anime just won't work with Heroclix. As others have said, characters are too OP (either by fans or the creators themselves) or all the characters have a similar power set. Bleach would basically be the Indy set; give everyone blades and zero range. Unless you don't want to run the captains, which EVERYONE will.
Now Trigun I can get behind. Maybe a Jonah Hex sort of pack? I can also see Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop. The characters in those are different from each other and would be interesting to field.
DBZ needs it's own Heroclix game. It won't play well with others.
Yeah i thought about this before. I'm sure naruto, one piece, akira, ghost in the shell, bleach, and dragonball z would sell pretty well. Alot of anime fans buy gasophan.gasophons which are basically figs that you buy in Japan outta gumball machines for 500-700 yen. They come in a few pieces that you hav to put together but are already painted. They look awesome and people nuy those for 10-25 dollars here. Look em up on ebay and see how well made they are. The marvel and dc ones are excellent. Some anime properties i'd personally like to ce made into clix are, Deadman Wonderlan clix, Code Geass clix ( mechs rock ), and Soul Eater clix that use the new mechanic NECCA is using in the Captain America sets that has certain things you add to certain clix that add powers/abilites. Have lelouch from code geass put on his Zero mask, SSuzaku Kurirugi from code geass get in his mech, Pam and Lizzy from Soul Eater turn into ther desert eagle gun and have Death the kid pick em up and use em in battle. Lotsa cool powers and abilities that would easily translate into clix gameplay.
P.S. Have Goku whenever he goes super saian or whatever have to spend the next 3 turns charging up before he can do his power. Always hated DBZ becaues it seemd like all they did in battles was standstill and scream for 5 minutes charging up to lvl 1000 before they did anything. Then finally they'd hit someone into a mountain and it would explode.
All I honestly want are some Mega Man clixs. Is that to much to ask for?
A Mega Man Heroclix set would be too awesome for words. I'd especially want Zero (as in the original Zero, not the weird chibi-looking one from the ZX series.) He's my favorite character from that entire franchise (with Rock as a close second.)
Plus a Mega Man set could make great use of 3D objects and removable objects / pieces.
I know the show doesn't really count to most anime fans I've met, but if it means I can get a Kuma from Afro Samurai to team up with Bronze Tiger and fight an endless horde of my old Hand Ninja pieces, I'm all for anime properties. :D
Also, I second the need for Megaman in clix form. Boomer Kuwanger is the one Maverick I'm dying to see in a game, but all of the Robot Masters would be cool too.

Zero is not in the ZX series at all. I assume you mean the Mega Man Zero series, but I have trouble understanding because those games are amazing.
