So... are there additional rules for grenades that we're missing?
There's nothing in "Throw a Grenade" that says you can't use it if your grenade pool is 0.
Other than common sense, but that's sometimes in short supply.
I'm sure it will be in a Player's Guide. The part in parenthesis should not have been, but the intention is clear that you need 'nades to throw 'nades. I doubt many judges would rule in favor of throwing with a an empty grenade pool.

I'm guessing that it's a matter of trying to cram the rule into as few words as possible, though you only save a word or two over something like this...
Give the character a power action, if the number of grenades in your grenade pool is greater than 0, decrease it by 1 and choose a type of grenade listed on this card.

I expect something along these lines in the next PG
Thank you for your application to join my collection of Heroclix. We regret to inform you that, at this time, we are unable to offer, you specifically, a position. Your dial on the other hand will be very much welcomed and as we are looking for dials for the members of Project Freelancer, high priority given to Agent Texas, Agent Washington and Agent Maine.
As such, we are looking forward to all of your future submissions.
If a space opens up we will let you know.
Sincerely,
Director Traitorarmor

The grenade rules shouldn't need an errata; they read "[...]decrease the number of grenades in your grenade pool by 1 (if greater then 0), AND choose a type of grenade listed on this card." If you can't do all of them you can't perform the action.

Based on "For each [...] chose one:" this seems to say you can react to damaging figures one-by-one. If you hit 6 you could add one grenade to your pool, boost one friendly character's attack value by +2, and another by +3.

Eh?
You could technically hit 9 squares, right?
It does appear the choice is per character hit. Time to go to the rules forum!

Eh?
That's how I read it and what makes that ability so very scary.
You can keep MC stocked with grenades and the thing that kept grenades from being too nasty was your limited usages of them.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

As long as a player is actually paying attention, it's rather likely that only 2-3 figures will ever get hit by a single grenade, at most.
But yes, it seems as long as his grenade damages one figure, he'll never run out of them.
That does seem to be the way, if you've got less than 1 or don't need to make another attack that turn, you're going to pick up grenades. Notice it also works of his regular attacks, so if you're out of 'nades, you can pile them up off a regular close or ranged attack.
I'm hoping the Covenant TA is also awesome like the UNSC one clearly is.
And this right here just bumped my superman order down to one case and my halo order up to 2 cases. Holy crap I love halo and how I'm actually going to have a master chief that can kick butt. Im so happy they got rid of the switching out weapons thing from actionclix. I thought it was dumb that you could basically take a grunt an with enough upgrade tokens turn him into masterchief with fist of rukt. This figure is almost perfect, I like sculpt but the creepy blue dildo in his hand scares me.

To be fair, if you had enough upgrade tokens to do that, the game was probably over already under the standard rules.
But I'm totally fine with them taking a direction that's more compatible with main stream HeroClix. If I want to play a Halo-only game that involves weapon swapping, I can come up with some custom rules for that.

True that was a major exaggeration but still. Don't get me wrong I bought tons of it but it was just weird. I made more of a campaign mode for it. I can't wait for these to come out, I'm almost more excited for these than the superman set (which I was really excited for)
