I love Gleek and of course have him... but can't seem to find a good way to use him without being screwed... I love monkeys and try to get them all haha.
easy, play him on a stealthed team!! if it's an animal team, make sure he can only see someone that isn't a huge part of your force! i've used him well. most times the opponent forgets what he goes since they can't over that they're fighting gleek!!

My mind was made up from day one. Seems to me that if enough people were Halo fans then it'd be a moot point, as the game would likely still be in production.
I don't think that's very fair. I'm a huge Halo fan, but not even I bought into actionclix. Just because I love the franchise doesn't mean that I want to learn a new game around it.
For example, I like the game Risk. So when the Halo Wars version of Risk was released I jumped all over it. But had the Halo Wars board game been a completely new experience I probably would have passed on it.

that's why i'm gonna play with everything they give us!! it's just new figures with a new TA, and a new mechanic or two! i can't wait for any new stuff they give us! i'd love darkstalkers, resident evil, and god of war!! neca already makes toys for god of war!! could you imagine how nice a god of war gravity feed and fast forces would be!!

Attack - Take Aim: When this unit succeeds at a shot and the attack roll is doubles, the shot deals an extra 1 damage. Fuel Rod Gun: When this unit succeeds at a shot, you can knock back the target up to 2 squares. Deal 2 damage to the target if its knockback path is blocked. ActionClix: Not subject to critical misses. Except where specified by any figure-specific abilities, this character does not score extra damage on a critical hit, and does not cause knockback on doubles. This figure may move 4 squares and attack without penalty, or move more than 4 squares with a -3 to attack.
I'm not even gonna bother cherry picking quotes and multi-quoting.
I am just going to say that I am happy for those who are happy with other licensing brands coming into clix. I personally do not plan on playing with them much, if at all. I am not trying to keep others from doing so, however. And I will just leave it at that.
Alex Ross hates Kyle Rayner too. I hope the Death's head sculpt is hideous and his dial is just as bad.

This, you see, I play Heroclix because it's the surviving piece of the original game, MageKnight. Sure you play with some goofy characters but the gameplay remains fun and with some small exceptions has a good blend of all the clix games put together. It's like they took what worked in the early clix games and rolled them together to make one cohesive game, and that game is heroclix.
Because of that, whatever is released for Heroclix will most likely be more successful than other versions (Did Star Trek sell out? I doubt it.) because they are not part of the working and thriving game engine. The fact that there are Marvel and DC characters making up most of the armies is really a moot point. That's really nice if you like the Marvel DC people, and power to you if they have your favorite guy or gal and it plays great, but there are plenty of other people who like the Clix game, and Heroclix IS the best version of that game, but don't care for the figure on top.
For me, Street fighter is really the first set (other than Hellboy) that I was really excited about. Halo will be the second. There are TONS of other people that would play this game if it had people that they actually liked in it. I imagine LOTR will also bring in new players, but if these are all one shots, and one shots that are being ostracized by the community, like seen in the negativity expressed in this forum. Then they will simply pass it up. I want to see this game thrive rather than devolve into... dare I say it, Cliques. Making some sets ok, and other sets not based solely on their licensing is not only bad for the game, but it's bad for the community as well. So, it's cool to like what you like, but don't keep raining on everyone else's parade if you don't like another set.
While much of what you say is valid, I will note that there's only a few copies still available for sale on Amazon. Don't know how much stock with which they started, so the info's in a nigh-vaccuum but still...*shrugs*
I'm just trying to figure out - other than girl power - why/when Uhura started replacing Scotty as a more regular "Away Team" member (other than in the animated series).
I guess it makes sense to have her down on planet communicating with aliens and Scotty overlooking the ship that he knows better than anyone but still seems odd.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

i've been playin WK games since MK as well (some time in mid 2001) and i gotta say i was sad to see Mage Knight go, but i was also happy about HC because i love comic book characters and comic books were how i learned to read (really ) so it softened the blow of losing MK, since then i've seen a ton of figures made into clix form that i never thought would happen and my primary draw to this (clix format) game has become character over game winning stats (it was the reverse in MK).
that said, im cool with any properties as a whole they want to incorporate (except toon clix i.e. buggs bunny and mickey mouse) when i dislike something it is generally because i dislike a specific character (which is usually a stretch, i like most characters) or because a character i like has a bland or badly weakened dial, NOT because of what property it happens to come from....
that said i'll still keep any odd universe figs i get in their own respective containers

And if we let them keep going, you might have even sized boxes of plenty of things

i can only hope, i would hate for everything that they release coming up to be a bunch of one shot stuff (except maybe gears of war) even the LotR stuff that i will be largely avoiding will have the occasional monster i'll want to pick up in possible multiple's
There's about to be three games worth of stuff they can do, and they haven't done everything I want yet.
I want a Bloodmount with full speed charge + blades that can also make a single ranged attack with Sharpshooter at -2 attack during the charge. I want the Boomer proper, not just the Mauler. The Boomer should be able to fire an EE with extra damage potential. There should also be a Grinder that has a chance to do half a D6 worth of additional damage. I want Theron Guards with a cool ability to reflect the Torque Bow.
I want the Queen Myrrah and Adam Fenix in some representation.
I want all the remaining COG guys we don't have, including: Victor Hofman, Tai Kaliso, Dizzy Wallin, Jace Stratton, Helena Stroud, Chariman Prescott, Lt. Kim, I really want Alex Brand and some of the Jilane girls, Jonathan Harper, it goes on.
I also want some random stuff like Chaps, Hanley, and Franklin Tsoko.
I have a similarly long list for Halo.
My third big want for a sci-fi series brought to Heroclix is most definitely Mass Effect. I would have a nerdgasm.
EDIT: How did I list all that out and forget to say I want the Carmines? ALL FOUR OF THEM!
