As for current pieces, I gotta go with either WoS X-23 or BatB Robin.

For unconventional choices I love Impossible Man and Psycho Pirate.

Both a little to pricey for what they do, but when it works, WOW!!! Your opponent just has a look on their face that is priceless. Impossible Man especially as he can just be sheer chaos tying up people, outwitting, and avoiding attacks.

Wos Mysterio. I have not played a game where he didn't pull his weight. Pop him in some stealth, use PC when needed and smoke cloud out people's supersenses/willpower and wait until someone decides to deal with him. When they do that, if they damage him enough but don't kill him, I Grand Reveal a close combat nightmare in while Mysterio runs away and heals. (: IMO, he's what Mysterio should be- Not incredibly strong, but full of fun tricks.

I find myself reaching for Common Ryu alot.

For me, the #1 under 100 point unconventional figure would easily be Abe Sapien. He will always pull his weight and then some... Not enough good things can be said about this figure.

It's amazing and sad how many people listed figures that are the exact opposite of what the OP asked.

Kingpin from HoT gets my nomination just because I like the character and he isn't THAT bad. Maybe it's just me.

I don't think 5 star figures count as unconventional.
