The name of the power is "Leave Hulk Alone!" and I think it's appropriate given that name. The idea is that he can knock two different people back or get two tries to knock one person back. Were the name of the power "stay here and get punched twice", I could see the anger regarding the power. The power may not lead to tons of damage to any one character, the power DOES do what the name of the power indicates in that it helps Hulk be alone.
That being said, I will still play my Rampaging Hulk over this one, but that's just cause I feel like that's one of the best Hulks for the points ever.
Great. Hulk's dial is pretty lackluster, with its powers that don't mix well (knockback and flurry? oy) and its weakness for Hulk, I'm pretty disappointed. I was really hoping for something more powerful that would blow the regular set Hulk away.
Even more disappointing? Bruce Banner will be 50 points. I was hoping for a more expensive one that reflected him using all of his Banner-tech. 50 points probably won't deliver the kind of dial I'm hoping for.
I think the fig is fine, i think its everyone playing thats wrong. he's balanced for under 150pts. But u put him up against the broken characters and ya he looks like ####.. This game needs a better way to keep the powers in check. we all want the impervious on every click.. but the game would suck..
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Defenders Hulk is the AE in Galactic Guardians. With this New Fantastic Four in this set, and the fact that Silver Surfer makes more sense showing up in that set (between a Colossal Galactus, the Annihilators, the Keeper chase figure, and just the space theme in general), you only need spots for Namor and Strange, and the Defenders sort of make sense in that set anyway.
No offense, but this is a dumb reason not to have one of the most classic versions of a character in a set named after them. I shouldn't have to wait beyond a HULK set to get a Defenders Hulk. And I know I'm most certainly not the only person whose most anticipated figure of the Hulk set was the Defenders version that hasn't been made in 10 years. Ten. years.
I forgot about the Fast Forces Hulk. Two more chances for a Defenders Hulk

Seriously, even a KEYWORD would be great at this point!
Longest-Reigning Drunken HeroClix Champion - anyone got a liver?
Not a lot of leaping for a Hulk fig! I do like the ranged attack bonus power, too bad it doesn't increase his movement as well though...he's still only charging for four.

Don't misunderstand my explanation for disagreement. I agree with what you're saying. The Defenders Hulk should be in this set. However, this isn't the first (nor will it be the last) time a set theme has spilled over one way or the other.
Trades: WITH WoL H/W, also looking for Mandarin Rings, DoFP Rares & Nimrod

This Hulk is not designed with the game in mind. Giving him his lowest attack with his highest defense is just frustrating.
The break of Invuln in between Imperv makes him highly susceptible to Outwit as most figures do 3 damage so 1 Outwit will negate (after being damaged) damage reduction through clicks 4-6.
The Knockback power is exactly as tidge describes. I've used Combat Reflexes to get out of that second flurry attack loads of times - now this Hulk does it automatically?
The modification through getting attacked experiment WK has continually toyed with gets its latest attempt - and it fails just like the rest. Ms. Marvel's is worthless. Doomsday's is likely the most successful because he can be knocked to it when it might help for a turn.
The Hulk's being top dialed and protected by a meager 17 defense with only 3 clicks long means I can comfortably shoot Hulk and knock him past it every time. Sadly, its not until it returns near his end dial that it might be useful provided your opponent used all his actions shooting Hulk apart.
And that is because the defense is really low. 17 is average and 16 is below. Those Regen clicks make him low hanging fruit as a close-combat fighter he will be adjacent to opposing figures and in the fray when they pop up.
No way is he worth 145.
That being said, Feats go a long way in fixing many of the design flaws.
Movethrough and/or Unstoppable help his mobility issue dramatically.
Rip It Up will help his Black Cat level damage values.
I'd consider Automatic Regeneration in an attempt to wear the opponent down. 2 spaced clicks of Regen make it possible to land on it a few times.
Of course we now have a decent Hulk at 170 - and at that point I'd 9/10 choose that awesome 165 point common. Oh hell, lets make it 10/10.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
I thought ALL powers and abilities were optional unless they specifically said, "Non-Optional."
So why couldn't Hulk choose not to use "Leave Hulk Alone"?
Because the rules changed. Currently, ALL powers and abilities are NON OPTIONAL. But if a power says "may" then you don't have to use it. But if instead it says "can", well... "can" means "must" so you have to use it.
