As a total DC fanboy, I love everything but the Invun. Batman should have an insane outwit, caltrops or a baterang to the face is blades claws enough for me,so I can agree... just awesome. I now know for sure I will be getting this set.
Combat Reflexes, Toughness, Super Senses and maybe Shape Change should be Bats defensive skills.
So if The Batman is #29 and rare, would it be reasonable to assume that there are probably 35-50 or more in the set? I can't imagine what other figures could be filling up all those slots, unless half the set is alter egos and half is variations of Batman.
Proof of favoritism. There is no way that Batman gets a 129pt figure, let alone 140pt.
This is just ridiculous. Batman more points than Professor X, some Hulks, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Punisher, Human Torch, Mr. Fantastic, and Captain America.
Plot armor my @$$ !! Wizkids has succeeded in ticking me off Again !!
Being the only hero in your movie trilogy has it's uses.
And it's amusing to see someone whine about favoritism then use all Marvel examples.
Heroclix named Katana are surprisingly easy to decapitate...
Wow, that was a nice unexpected preview surprise. Thanks, WK!
I like them a lot, but with the one big (already mentioned) caveat, three clicks of Invulnerability is way over-board for any version of Batman who isn't in some sort of super armor (or otherwise temporarily sporting super powers).
I'm with the Marvel fanboys on this one, these dials are examples of GREAT dial design. But why do we get that so often with Batman? Why do Marvel fans have to live with 2-3 barely usable Spider-Mans in a row while every single main universe Batman has been great? It's time WizKids designs a sucky Batman. /rant
You're good. But I'm magic!

The problem is that a lot of new players come from the "race generation" they want to define their worth by the "skill" they posses in playing a game of toy soldiers.
I kneew I was gonna want this full set- but this preview is gonna make the wait unbearable! Super sweet figures, I had no idea there were 3 till I was reading about Bruce Waynes abilities and scrolled down for an excellent bonus!
The only bummer thoughts this gave me is the fact that I'm never gonna be able to get a clixed form of Tobey Spider-man. Is there another Wolverine movie in production? Any chance we can get an X-Men movie set outta that?
And not to beat a dead horse, but these dials are really overpowered. Bullet resistant generally translates to toughness in Heroclix. Most characters that get invulnerable could survive getting a bus dropped on them, but I don't think Batman would hold up so well to that.
Oh come on, you've see the second movie haven't you? Of course he's got some Invulnerability going on!
The man falls out of a skyscaper penthouse, lands head first on a car, & walks away!
That's a heck of an armor upgrade from being worried about dog bites....
[sarcasm] you're correct. KC Batman, Vampire Batman, and most of the Batman Alpha were great.[/sarcasm]

The last regular Batman was in BatB, and was this:

While not terrible, it's in line with WoS Spideys as far as being toned-down and far less useful than previous Batmen.
With retirement, ther won't even be a Regular-universe Bruce Wayne Batman until the JL set comes out.
So is there ANY reason I would want to field The Batman over The Dark Knight at team creation? 11 more points and generally worse. I would want to AE into The Batman if I was running Bruce Wayne, but The Dark Knight is a MONSTER for his point cost.
Also, I like the new look for the Batman Ally TA, but it leaves problems with clarity because it's a little too close to the dial base color in shade.
So we should get crap Batman figures because we got crap Hulk figures?
These Batman figures are great, he has utility which Batman does. Both figures are indomitable which drives up the cost but there is nothing better than having indomitable on a figure.

Or maybe people want reasonable versions of each character. You know how your average hero or villain with Super strength and invulnerability like Thing, Colossus, Wonderman, Luke Cage, Hercules, Strong Guy, The Wrecking Crew, Soloman Grundy, Wonder Girl, Robot Man, etc etc etc costs somewhere between 100-135 points or so? And then the Hulk in comics would easily defeat the vast majority of those people and therefore should be a lot stronger than them? And then he isn't.
And then you know how Batman is a mortal man who wears armor that doesn't offer him complete protection against dog bites or stabing knives or even cover his face?
And then the majority of the last several Hulks are around the same cost as this Batman?
So yeah, people don't want sucky Batman pieces because the last Hulks have sucked. In fact the last Hulks have not sucked, many are excellent. The new GG rare is a great "dial" for 124 points. But Hulk should be stronger than the average super strength invulnerability type, just like Batman should be a better fighter than the average martial artist piece and smarter than the average super intelligent piece.
These Batman pieces however, are stupid. They are WAY out of line for ability and point cost for any version of Batman, let alone the movie one who is both just starting out and has never fought any super-powered opponents. I have no interest in these dials at all. They look more like Dr. Doom dials than ones belonging to Batman. They are WAY out of their depth, just like the recent Hulk dials have been, which is why people are complaining.
I guess I'm happy for Batman fans who get to play with amazing Batmans who do a terrible job of representing him on the tabletop. I certainly don't want any, for the same reason I wouldn't want a 50 point Superman, no matter how super good or playable he was, it would just be dumb.

I said main universe. And the Batman Alpha set was it's own thing, and the Batmans there are pretty good within that context.

I'm not hating on that dial, and I do not understand why anyone would be. Why can't I get a horrible Batman like (almost) every single Hulk is?
