It makes me sad when I go to the rules forum, and all the questions are about stuff that isn't officially out yet anyway, and I can't answer anything.
Hey Vlad, I got this question about The Tester, can you clarify a few things?
My favorite, is people asking about rules questions based on dials that may or may not be 100% correct. It's one thing if we've seen the card and dial in pictures, but when we're basing this stuff off of rough translations from a French website, then it gets dicey. Heck, last time I checked, SteelMage still had Mr. Fantastic's dial entered incorrectly, but he hasn't fixed it even though people have pointed it out. Oh the possibility for misinformation is ripe!
Oh! Got it: X-Factor. 2x BTs in Mystique and Madrox (with a push on Madrox), but 2x Madrox REALLY ought to be fine in highlander circumstances if you want to stay economical (if he isn't, your judge needs to read a comic book).
If the scenario says no figure over 100 points, I thought the rules were that feats added to figures count towards their point cost, so on the above team 2 of your figures are illegal for the scenario.
Nothing personal, I just love when I can rain on someone's Bril-Tac parade. I hate that feat as in my mind most feats just take the fun out of the game. Hate them even more when people put them on modern figures.

I don't think that's a thing, is it? Feats are scored independently of characters. This judge has occasionally structured games the way you're describing, but I don't think that's the way it works officially. Am I wrong?
Edit: And regarding the un-fun-ness of feats, this scenario is going to be dominated by Martial Artist teams with Nightcrawler with the gauntlet. Given that I'm not going to play any of those things for sheer unfunitude, excuse me if I play a little hardball so as not to auto-lose to them.

Brilliant Tactician isn't nearly as irritating as other Feats I can name, IMO.
It's pretty rough, but not as much as In Contact With Oracle (that does nicely on a Martial Artist team with Nightcrawler and the gauntlet) and Warbound at least.

I'm more interested to see Hawkeye next week since we've already seen Doom's dial. I will say though that it's nice to have three point values of Doom that are useful...CTD, GG-UC, GG-Chase.

I'm not 100% on the rule, though it is how it has been applied at every venue I have ever played at. If it is in fact a real rule, NC + 15 point gauntlet wouldn't be allowed either.

mutantwolf and I were talking about this earlier this week, and my understanding at least is that that isn't the case. I don't believe Vendetta gives you bonus points on feats attached to the chosen character, for example. Doesn't mean the judge won't make that a special rule, but I don't think it's an actual rule.

What don't you like about him? I like him a lot.

I like him more than both SI versions so this is a nice change.
Also, I wish these dials weren't entered into the Units Section based on unconfirmed information (wait until a preview or the set is released). He was entered into the Units Section with a range of 7...which was a pure guess on the part of steelmage. Now whoever is in charge of the Units needs to go back and fix these things and I just wonder how many of them will sneak through without getting fixed, especially when it comes to the wording of special powers.

What rule is it that you are talking about specifically? Since I'm one of your Judges, I would like the opportunity to explain a ruling.

Oh, and I'm a HUGE fan of that new Doom. He's very economical and very effective. I am a little opposed to ANY DOOM to EVER have the FF keyword, though. He may have helped them from time to time, but it was ALWAYS grudgingly.
