I just want to chime in with some words of caution. I don't play HCO regularly. Every couple of months, I log in and play a game or two and see if it's improved. A couple of weeks ago, I was playing a game and we had about 15 minutes left when it kicked me out of the match back to the menu screen with no warning. Boom done.
Or is that what would have happened if the other person quit? Because it was a pretty even game, he might have even been ahead.
It the other person quit you are quicked from the game, and there is only a small notice at the chat and is very fast, but there are people at HCO that stop playing and don't speak or do anything only wiat to make you qui, that is what i don't understand. If you don't want to play, say something at the chat and quit.

I agree. My attitude toward it would be different if they would at least INFORM you that they are quitting the game. Instead you're sitting there on the other end of the internet wondering what happened to your opponent. I suppose they do that so it could POSSIBLY be construed that they had connection issues or an emergency or something instead of being labeled a Quitty McQuitterson.

Do you guys think there should be a way to concede a game? You concede you get a loss and your opponent wins.
Absolutely. If you are going to quit a game there should be a polite way to do it.
I completely understand why some people quit. Why should you waste your time just so your opponent can continue to wail on you? You keep rolling four or below and they can't roll BELOW an 8. I get it...I really do. However, if you KNOW you've lost, there has to be a better way than leaving them to watch the clock click down.

i am thegameshark and wtf is this ignorant rant of a post.
i have been playing video games a long time and i have never in my long life as a gamer, rage quitted!
i dont remember playing you, but whatever i dont keep track of any players online.
but one thing that is a fact, and unless you can post a screenshot this never happened....i never raged!
the fact is unless you complain in chat, cus out your opponant out in chat, whine or cry like this post in chat, or communicate negatively in one form or another to your opponant, then it is not RAGE-quitting.
you are using the term rage-quitting wrong!
post a link to a screenshot with me raging
i have been playing this game since beta, and this game is still not the most stable game ive played, and again im thegameshark, i have played alot of video games. if i play 10 games, this game will crash or freeze at least once. if this game froze during a match between you and i then you are at fault for posting an argument of ignorance without the proper proof you just label me a ragequitter. and as a gamer i can tell you i am extremely pissed about being called a ragequitter. and to see my handle blasted on this forum has insulted me to the core. you are ignorant slvrsr4. and im not insulting you for saying it, i am stating a fact. #1 i never rage in chat, it never gets you anywhere on the internet. and i rarely use chat to begin with, so unless you have a screenshot of me raging than your accusation of me is false. and therefore this makes you ignorant of the facts. #2 how do you know i quit? this again is you assuming. i probably just froze or crashed. it happens in this game and every video game to ever have been released.
i have reported you twice now for this harassment. i have been insulted by this name calling, and the use of the term is wrong that as a gamer is insulting too. even if i crashed and it looked like i quit on your screen, how did you get i raged out of it. you are rage posting. or qq'n.
do you think you can post anything you want to the forums and your anonymity will shield you from taking responsibilty from your comments? you straight bullied me on the forums. im insulted. and you had better take me off this post and apologize to me for your ignorant insensitive rant.
and im curious why this post hasnt been locked or taken down. do you get special treatment being a donor?
Shark, this doesn't seem like the best way to handle the situation. If I were you I'd simply explain the situation, or if you don't remember it, ask the accuser about it first. (I don't think people should be added to this list without at least 1 other person confirming a similar incident).
I'm sure that if you do not fit this category, and you can calmly explain that, there would be no issue removing your name.
On another topic, the term "rage-quitter" in this situation also applies to someone who, often with no warning, will quit a match out of anger or frustration after simply a bad roll or bad series of events.
Threatening reporting, claiming harassment, insulting others, and in general, an angry tirade of this sort, does nothing but paint you in an unfavorable light.
Honestly shark I could see this happening from the beginning but your argument is filled with all this rage that you say you do not partake in. In the end this is a he said/she said situation and flipping out as you did will only make people not believe you.
Make an intelligent post and you will get further.
Curbstomper quits every time I've played him, right before I deliver the finishing blow to Thorki (which is all I've seen him use). This has happened two, maybe three times, so I don't even try to play him anymore.
The Man in Black fled across the desert, and the Gunslinger followed...
I played somebody just now (ROAH), and when he saw my team (An HCOL team) he quit. I gave him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he got disconnected. I went back into the lobby and saw that he started another game. I jumped into it with my same team. This time he played for about five minutes. After missing his attack with his WOS Bullseye and Critical Missing with his Emma frost, I see a screen that pops up saying the opponent has chosen to abort the game. Even though this is more kind to the other person than just up and quitting and leaving them with the clock to wind down, this wasn't just a simple disconnect as they CHOSE to end the game.

This list can be a good idea, however, it does have room for abuse. There are names on the list that I have had trouble with in the past. We do need a list or a rating system so players know quitters from serious players. I know it seems trivial, but if I spend almost an hour of my time doing something I want the win/loss for it. People quitting are just a waste of our time and they bring the whole community down.
One thing I've noticed is people will lose map roll then quit before the game starts. Then create a game again or join right back and try to win map roll again. It even happened quite a bit during the last league. I would like to think it's people having legit problems because this game is buggy (but doesn't seem to have any blue sky problems before the game anymore), but it's just happened too many times now IMO. And I have never seen someone win map roll and quit which is why I think people are doing it on purpose. I wonder if there is any way to police that in the league because anyone can just say they had a problem and had to exit the game.
Not a rage-quitter but thought I'd rant a bit. Faced Bulldragon in the second round of a tourny tonight, he had odin and fandral. I knocked out fandral and everything was going fine until he knocked out 2 of my guys, giving him the lead in points.
From here, suddenly his turns started taking longer and longer as he kept running away with phasing. Running away is an annoying but legit tactic. However I was starting to get annoyed at him stalling and called him out on it. As the timer hits around 5-7 min and i get a PB hit on odin knocking him to within 2 clicks of losing with beast, SHIELD agent, and karnilla on my side, it becomes clearly apparent that he's running the clock.
Every turn takes much longer than it should. Even after an action or with 2 action tokens, he takes a good 45 sec to pass. The thing that annoyed me the most though was when the timer was done (and going to extra ???? time), i got in position to hit him one more time with all my guys. He uses his second action token to hit me and misses. Then conveniently, he tells me he is sorry but needs to pee. Yup, with timer at ??? for a good few min already and AFTER he takes his action, he runs the rest of his self timer down and then his reserve timer and of course the game ends.
I may or may not have beaten him (he had 16 DV vs my 10AV with both beast and karnilla although he also had PC) if he didnt run the clock but atleast i could have got in an attack to see.
The part that annoyed me most is that he said "i need to pee" after he took his action and after the ??? timer has gone on a few mins. If he had just admitted he was stalling, i think i would be less annoyed.
