It appears that they have a whole 65 people playing in this league!
I'm shocked they have that many. I see 30-35 players max when I've been on lately. And I know all of them aren't playing in the league. Also just noticed 3 people in my division are also on my ignore list. Probably safe to say I'm gonna sit this one out.
Apologies for the delayed response, I'm still catching up from Gen Con. I'm very sorry to hear that you've unsubscribed from the HCO lists, please let me know if there's anything I can do.
The league decision made by the community team was to ensure fair gameplay for all participants. Again if there's anything I can do please let me know.
All the best,

My response:

Dear [Name Removed],
I have followed the activities of Icarus in regards to this issue quite closely. To say this was about fair play is misrepresenting the situation.
The initial decision to remove multiple people from one household was to ensure fair play. Even if I disagree with that decision, which I do, I could accept that policy.
The secondary decision of removing the leagues from the HCRealms board without consultation with that community who provided support for the first two leagues, including the rules and structure, was not about ensuring fair play. It looks like theft of IPR from a goodwill community, which is rather poor form on a company that likely relies on the goodwill of players.
Suffice to say, they have ensured that I will never purchase or promote products from Icarus Studios.
Sincerely,
Christopher Power

I have met [Name Removed] and [Name Removed], and they're nice ladies ... So I know that they're just doing their, very difficult, job. I definately appreciate your support, and we're moving forward with strengthing HCRealms position in the HeroClix tabletop universe.

Still no word from Icarus, which is a shame.
Indeed. I just want to be clear here. I have no problem with anyone personally at HCO. I feel the people we talk to are just following directives from above, so my problem are the policies that HCO continues to use. Policies that are self inflicting to HCO. Now who actually makes those policies and decisions? Hell if I know, but I would sure like to.
Wow this is crazy, I can understand that Icarus wants more control over their league but its not really their league, it was conceived and operated by customers on HCrealms. HCO's success is due to the hard work of others.
I don't see the problem of running leagues from HCrealms as well and basically they have no control here. Surely HCO wants customers, leagues make people buy figures due to changing game formats, its a win win scenario. If they were smart put in a monthly user fee to hire more staff & get this working properly, then let the leagues go where ever they are, they can keep their own league and we can have ours here.
It would be best if everyone worked together.
So what to do next? Boycott HCO? No way.
Protest? Sure, I am withdrawing from League 3 in protest for poor customer service, they really messed up stealing Howard Brock's brain child.
What else?
I say start another HCOL in HCrealms again and just play in it on HCO, personally I don't care about prize support, its free anyways and I just want to win one. If prize support is important then so be it, I will donate $100.00 to Howard Brock for prizes if he wants to get another going. I do want that money put into product from HCO in CB's & boosters for prizes. HCO needs to make money and without it it will die. They would be smart to donate LE's to motivate people to play more.
Do you really think that if we create another league outside Icarus they will prevent us playing games on HCO? I don't think so, If they did it would be the end of thier game. Its a win win for them they keep customers playing, who in turn spend money to get figures through sealed & auctions ect. I hope the owners of HCO get stinking rich and keep this game going for 20 years.

Yep - I personally wouldn't want that job. It is fun and games i'm sure when you get to run to Gencon all paid for for a weekend, but when the community management makes a decision like this one and makes that job unfun now.
It's one of the reasons I kept the mails polite. She has to tow the party line.
My sincere hope was that some feedback from other communities might get some movement for you in the right direction. It is unfortunate that there has been no contact at all.

looks like about 36 active players in L3 to me. nice one HCO. your player base was small to start and now you are dieing. we can still pull you out of the water though. just make things right with the HCR community or at least stick up for the game YOU made. we hold the cash. your move.
I decided after one game in their sponsored league to quit. W1/L0
I just felt dirty. I've been a member of the Realms for 8 years. I was here along with hundreds of others, keeping the game alive during the hiatus and doomsayers rants.
While I don't get a lot of opportunities to play physically now, it's no excuse for me to turn my back on our community. Heck, I know nobody would hold it against me if I played (if it's my only outlet for regular play) BUT it is about the principles of who we are as a gaming community.
When they force such issues they show a huge lack of respect for their customer base and disregard of the community that kept this player base alive for them to have a business. I cannot in good conscience support their on-line efforts.
Dream BIG, but keep the small dreams around just in case...
