Now that that is out of the way I must say: THAT IS WAAAAAAY TO MUCH PRODUCT!!!!! I tend to buy at least a case of everything but not anymore! And those sculpts of the Titans look old and mediocre as all get out! They remind me of the Crises LEs.
Also I'm also on the fence with that whole team base mechanic. Seems like just a big ole target for me to whipe out honestly.
"In a single bolt of lightning......Armageddon has arrived"
Does anyone know if this is more releases than, say, Magic the Gathering? It seems like a lot. But Im also unsure if there is really that much considering the are lots of mini sets and I dont consider Star Trek clix at all and look at it as a stand alone game.
I think the fast release is also geared toward one univerese enthusiasts who want DC or Marvel, but not both. I personally collect all my favorite characters and top notch dials from both because Im a nerd for the game mechanics as well a comic fan. I know many people here are the same, but I wonder if "double dippers" like me are the minority?
Regardless, as always, you dont have to buy everything. In fact you dont have to buy a single thing. This is a collectable game and is based entirely on want. I really dont understand the venom and vitriol in some people against the rapid release. I like it. I like seeing and collecting new product at my pace and my whim.

Different strokes, I guess... I'm happy to see sculpts that have just the figures on them without extraneous scenery. Not to mention my excitement over the fact of DC continuing to allow the pre-reboot stuff to be produced. Wolfman/Perez Titans? Yes - I am all over that.
The Batcave, team bases, vehicles, etc. are a bit too gimmicky for my tastes. But then, I admit to being of the old school who misses the simplicity of just needing a team of figures (without cards), a map, and dice. Again, different strokes.
The game can be as simple or as complex as you want to make it, which is cool.
Switchclix are a great idea, and is something I wish they had done years ago. I really like the Batman villains game.
As far as the Spider-Man set, I'm excited to finally see Werewolf by Night and Dracula. The appearance of the Living Mummy gives me faint hope of seeing a Manphibian to be able to build a Legion of Monsters team.
Maybe we'll even see a Blaze/Ghost Rider alter ego or even better, a morphing version. I can live without a new Elsa, Morbius, and Man-Thing being as we already have those in one form or another.
Very cool presentation.

in Magic there is a new set every 3 months or so except for the core set. core sets come out once a year and falls between two sets
but unlike clix you dont need or usually want every card in a set. i usually get at least one box with every new set and thats $80, i tend to get what i want out of that one box or enough stuff to trade with to get what i want if i didn't get it.
X-men set!..Wow, another one? Finally a Rogue in her classic 616 costume! Probably will be like GSX and cost fortune to collect what i want play.
I do love x-men tho, so happy its being done.
Well, it has been an eternity since GSX...
We need an X-Men set since like, two sets ago, and Summer 2013 seems so far away...
I'm really excited for the Titans set. I can't remember the last time a DC set excited me so much! The batcave looks awesome, and I'm really excited about the team dials. I just hope the new Beast Boy keeps the Morph mechanic.
OMG, I think I'm going to have to get a second job to pay for heroclix.

I'm not kidding when i say I totally have a second job just to pay for heroclix (among my other hobbies). Granted that second job is working at a comic and game shop on the weekends, so it ain't too bad.
All I want from Wizkids is more consistency in releases and format. Coming from a retailer it is a nightmare pre-ordering and pre-planning these orders and events to support them.
This will all even out except for the completionists. Knowing the release schedule and how many sets are coming will get people prepared for what sets they want to dump their money into. I was personally excited for a new DC set, but the previews have honestly bored the #### out of me. X-Men and Titans have me excited though.

Dracula looks to be mustachioed and '70s-esque. My Heroclix year is set. All that other stuff is just gravy.
Yeah. The most exciting thing about Drac is that he looks like his old "Tomb of Dracula" incarnation, which is made even cooler by his being based on the Jack Palance version.
It's like they made it just for me.

This will be based on the movies. I expect something similar to the Dark Knight Rises with characters from all three Iron Man films. Luckily he's already had a few suits of armor in the movies, because Movie Iron Man had 4 versions in the Avengers sets.
If they can't think of new variations, they can always do the Dick Cheney Iron Man from Robot Chicken.
