i see where you're coming from but i think a change in powers or abilities also apply as the presence or absence of one may affect the decision to actually make the attack...in this case in one scenario you had Steal energy and now you have blades....an additonal roll may be necessary (if you chose to use your blades) but the presence of blades may (in theory) also affected your choice of target which changes potential defense values..and let's say you rolled an 11 that would hit boith targets and now you want to switch because of the power change and you know the roll hits. just my thinking.

i see your point and i tend to agree with you. i think what happened to me in a previous game was the opposite, the change in values made the attack miss and i asked if i would be able to reroll and chose a different target and was told no because of the inverse of what you said. they said if the attack was a hit i would not have risked rerolling. i'm fine either way, i'd just like to know for the future because now i will have done it both ways.
