ok so witht he improved movement.if it has the ignore green square for hindering terrian, that counts for water terrian too even tho water terian has its own square as well that is colors blue? I just wanna make sure what I am reading here......Ok and as reading the rule book, on page twelve it does state that for movement purposes water terrian is considered hindering terrian...ugh so many rules and different aspects gives me a headache

Yes. water terrain is hindering for movement, so anyone that ignore hindering terrain for movement ignores water terrain for movement as well.

When you move, for any character that does not specifically ignore water, pretend that the water terrain is green squares instead of blue.
The easiest Highlander Rule to install as a House Rule is...
Quote
Simple Highlander Rule
No two figures of the same name may be played by the same player on the same starting Force.
You may petition the judge for exceptions to the rule
Using terms like "Generics" and "Figure Identity" is just asking for trouble, as they really arent defined for several pieces. You will definitely need to make exceptions though, so just be honest and uniform and let that decision on exceptions fall into your court alone.
Is it unfair? Probably a little, but it is no more unfair than some rules that are already a part of the HCTR at the judges discretion.

I also don't like restricting builds with Highlander rules either, if I want to run four scarlet witches let me, someone is bound to have something to counter it, there is a reasons WK has unique rings.
While I respect your opinion, I must point out there is a major flaw in your argument.
Uniques were originally created as a Rarity level...somewhat equivalent to todays SRs.
Suggesting they are there for game balance reasons is absurd.

Are you suggested that the application of the Unique silver ring hasn't changed since the days when it was a rarity? Because that is much more absurd, IMO...

Not really. Unique was originally used to designate figures thought to be too powerful to allow multiples of in play: it was for game balance reasons. That they were then the figures with the greatest rarity was good marketing: the "best" figures ought to be the hardest to get, right?
Due to influences internal and external the concept became diluted and, frankly, bastardized. Eliminating REVU was supposed to fix that, but that hasn't been effective either. But the premise that Unique was created to be nothing more than a rarity level is still incorrect.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Are we still talking about some silly house rule or the reason WK created Uniques....
I assure you perceived game balance was not the reason....the money they make by having a higher rarity level is the primary reason for making it that way. Is that not obvious with the evolution of Chase figures.
Its also believed by some that the second reason for making Uniques is because the formula knocked off a few points for being unique.
So are you suggesting Scarlet Witch should be a few points cheaper just to prevent her from being used in multiples?
And just one further point to my argument.....
IC Thanos is 185 points...they dont need to make him unique to prevent 2 of him being on a 300 point team.

I'm talking about the unique designation, yes. We obviously have differing views. Mine is based on things said by WizKids employees, including game designers, on the topic. Since I see no reason to assume they were all lying to me I'll continue to believe what I was told. I have no doubt you'll do the same.

I am also so glad they made this Parasite unique. Could you imagine if they allowed 2 Parasites on one team? All the players would have probably quit the game a long time ago....
You might be selling, but I aint buying that the Unique Silver ring is or ever was a means to do anything significant to game balance.

@IceHot: did you miss my statement that the concept over time was poorly applied or did you ignore it because it doesn't help you make your point? Believe as you will.

I am saying the concept was poorly applied as anything other than rarity from the very first set they made.
Not your comment, but the original comment I quoted suggested that Uniques were the end-all-be-all to game balance and that there never was a need for House Rule Highlander stuff.
A silly point. If uniques were the balance point from the beginning then, Firelord, R Wasp, and Vulture should be unique not Captain America, Nightmare, Cyclops, Jugs, Parasite, Commissioner Gordon, and The Key.
Seriously look at the list of Unique figures in the first two sets (Hypertime and Infinity Challenge) and tell me with a straight face that WK thought those characters were more powerful then any of the REV pieces in the same set.
And if your argument is that... "Welll WK is just stupid with how they make things unique not really understanding which pieces are powerful and which were not"...
Then my response once again is...."Uniques solving the need for Highlander House Rules is a dumb argument to make."

(Special) Extra-Dimensional Teleportation: Nightcrawler ignores the effects of terrain and characters on movement.
(Speed) Teleportation Evacuation: Nightcrawler can use Hypersonic Speed, Stealth and the Carry Ability. When Nightcrawler uses Hypersonic Speed, a target hit by a close combat attack may be placed adjacent to Nightcrawler after the power action resolves.
(Defense) BAMF!: Nightcrawler can use Super Senses. Whenever he uses Super Senses to evade an attack, you may immediately move him up to half of his speed value.
But, this being unique may have just been a coincidence, since the world champ designed figs are all unique.
But, the uniqueness of this one was no accident:

(Special) In Contact with Cerebro: If Professor X is in your starting area, he can draw lines of fire and count Range for his Speed, Attack, and Damage powers from the square of any friendly character with whom he shares a keyword.
(Damage) I've Learned Your Secrets: Professor X can use Outwit. Once per turn, when he uses Outwit to counter a standard power, he may immediately use Outwit again, but only to counter a power of the same color.
I think uniqueness is a tool that can and is sometimes used for game balance, but I would agree game balance probably wasn't the primary reason for having it.
