Wow, I was suspicious before I even read the article, but after
reading, ME WANT THOSE NOW! :D They seem super-cool and
may give the game something new. Thumbs up boyos!
I'm understanding these rules better than the vehicles. I think players will warm up to the team bases after they mess with them a bit. I'm going to try it out a few times at least. I mean come on, on their first click the Titans can move into charge distance, range action for 4 damage, charge for 4, and finally close combat action for 4. Max 12 damage on the first click (without any modifiers) sounds pretty sweet to me.
Heres and idea Wizneca. Instead of make`n dumb new mechanics and bases, why dont you just make more of the things we acctuelly want to spend money on, like unclixed figures, remakes of figs that need it, figs that are made properly and done justice for once, etc etc. Whats next, Peter PArkers Apartment...SMH..
Wow......these comments and responses scare me. Are there that many players THAT unwilling to read? Heaven forbid this game make us think a little......I read this and I like it. New mechanics are welcome. If you don't like it, then don't play it. But I would read the rules just in case because odds are your going to have to fight it at least once.
So the Red Hood and the Outlaws team base kind of gets shafted in terms of removing characters because there's only 3 members?
Unless of course it has a special that says otherwise (and it better have a special that says otherwise). Or maybe the smaller team bases work more like duos with just split/merge (similar to Avengers Prime)?
This is just my pre-thinking/complaining post until they actually post the dial.

Peter parkers apartment? Hmmm.....I would play that! An exclusive aunt may figure could come with the set. She would have support and perplex. (Signifying her good meals and old wisdom) while spiderman is adjacent to the apartment he can use shapechange or can be switched into a peter parker alter ego of which lines of fire are blocked. (Why would the villian attack parker when there looking for spiderman? )
Also spiderman can use enhancement. (He upgrades his shooters in his lab)
I know you didn't intend on doing this.....but you came up with a great idea! X-mansion, collectors ship, avengers tower, latveria. Thanks!
They are a very big target, but they do waaayyyy too much for the points. They have Multi-Attack but on crack. I can have them make 3 attacks every freaking turn. Ugh just stupid. Since when did Heroclix turn into the Batmobile using the Infinity Gauntlet to blow up Titans Tower only to turn around and be KO'd by The Enterprise D wearing Robin's underpants (the box art has confirmed we will get Robin's outfit in this set).

Ordinarily, I would agree with Those WHo Are Confused, since I'm usually one of those most befuddled by new game mechanics. Heck, I never got used to Giants and Duos.
But for some strange reason, I get this. Somehow I find it much more intuitive. Sure, it's buried in all the rules-speak (because Wizkids is forced to hew to the letter of the law approach, rather than the spirit of law, because so many competitive players are too intent on gaming the game). But if you think about what the mechanic represents, it seems natural enough.
Teams arrive together and stick together.
They do a bunch of battle maneuvers all at the same time in coordinated attacks.
Different members take point during different points in the battle.
A member can break off from the group for a solo attack, but you lose the advantages of being on a team when you do that.
All the aspects of the mechanic capture these ideas pretty well.

Since they invented the Feat Cards and players decided it was more important to use them to win the game than to use the game to simulate comic book battles.
