The mystical sword of Scirocco strikes true, and with an impossibly bright flash of scarlet energy, even the Stranger's enigmatic protection is pierced! "Just so" Scirocco allows himself a rare smirk.

Nemesis roars, his mechanical voice loud enough to cause dust and pebbles to fall from the roof of the cave as he unleashes his full, untamed power directly at the distracted Stranger! Nemesis shoots Stranger with RCE. 11 atk. vs 17 def. Needs a 6. Roll is: (3,3) for a 6 and just barely a hit! Stranger takes 3 after Invulnerability and is knocked back into the blocking terrain behind him for no additional damage (Knockback always going along the diagonal path if not on a direct line). 1 mighty SA for Lord Nemesis with Indomitable taking care of the pushing damage.

The cataclysmic detonation of Nemesis' force-blast rings even lounder than his roar of fury, shaking the very foundation of the mines with the sheer force of impact! "That, peasants, is TRUE power, the power of LORD NEMESIS!"

1) Kalinda, seemingly unperturbed by her master's defeat focuses her mind over matter and teleports to E12

2) "Ah most impressive performance, stranger, but I fear the time has come for the curtain to fall" Nemesis smirks, his mechanical voice somehow sounding even more smug and gloating with Recluse's fall. "You see, my incomparable scanners have just finished analysing that fascinating energy output of yours..." Nemesis raises his staff high, the whine of the charging technological terror drowning out even his gloating... Nemesis shoots Stranger with RCE. 11 atk. vs 17 def. Needs a 6. Roll is: (2,1) for a 3 and a total miss! Kalinda will quickly step in to avert disaster and PC that! Second roll is: (3,4) for a 7 and a hit! Since Stranger will be KO'ed if that stands I'll assume he'd want to PC that! Third roll is: (2,5) for a 7 and still a hit! Stranger takes 4 after toughness and is KO'ed! 1 SA and 1 titanic KO for Lord Nemesis and another AST for Kalinda.

Just before Nemesis unleashes his deadly attack, Kalinda's soft, carefully controlled voice somehow makes itself heard over the roar of the charging weapon. "His powers are even greater than what your flawless calculations indicate, Lord Nemesis, you would do well to increase your power-output by another 25% and alter the vibrational frequency of the oscillation slightly"

Such is the confidence and certainty carried by Kalinda's voice that even Lord Nemesis once again finds himself compelled to comply, altering both power and frequency of his attack on the fly before finally letting the blast fly, smashing into the centre mass of the gargantuan stranger in an explosion so bright that for a moment it seems as if a star is being born within the mines! As the light finally begins to fade, nothing except a scorched patch of ground remains of the enigmatic Stranger...

"Such a shame Recluse wasn't conscious to witness this little display of the true power of Lord Nemesis" the Preussian Prince of Automatons chuckles to himself.

1) "Fascinating, while the thought to keep you around for a bit longer to let your ally fully appreciate the depth of your betrayal, I find attempts at prolonging life through inter-dimensional, parasitic infections to be rather... distasteful" Nemesis casually states as he levels his still smoking Nemesis Staff at White Tiger and unleashes hell. Nemesis shoots White Tiger with RCE. 11 atk. vs 16 (+1 from Prodigy) def. Needs a 6. Roll is: (6,6) for a 12 and a critical hit! White Tiger takes 6 clicks of damage and is hurled back to P7 where her demonic form is thoroughly KO'ed! (No injuries in pre-season, fortunately!) 1 SA and 1 KO to Nemesis who takes no damage from the push thanks to Indomitable.

"Begone, vermin!" Nemesis lowers the staff and unleashes the blast as if swatting away an annoying fly, sending White Tiger's demonically enhanced form flying across the mines like a rag-doll caught in a hurricane!

Turning his expressionless, brass-covered face to the lone remaining hero, his voice more than expresses the emotion his face-plate could not "Lord Nemesis will graciously accept your unconditional surrender now"

2) Meanwhile... elsewhere in the mine, Ghost Widow begins to manifest her spectral form on the physical plane of existence once more. Widow rolls to regenerate, roll is: 5 (and I'm justified in not going for Prodigy as that would have been his super-senses roll!) and she heals 3, returning to full "health"

"As I tried to explain" she sighs softly to herself with a voice that chills the soul "The dead... cannot change"
