Story:
"Jason, my HUD is showing a weak point on the Bird's helmet. There's a crack in it from Wilson's earlier grenade blast. Only problem, it's on the front just above his left eye. Think you can hit it?" Lex knew the Red Hood could make the shot easy enough.
"Lex.. seriously?" Jason popped up from cover and yelled, "Hey, Birdman! Yo, Ugly! Over here!" At that last remark, the Tyrant had had enough. He spun on the insolent mortal who dared mock him. He would make this one beg for mercy before he granted him death! But he never got the chance. As soon as he turned he saw two quick flashes and his powered durasteel helmet exploded just above his left eye. King Condor slumped to the ground and knew no more.
"Nice shot kid." Deathstroke hopped back as the winged giant fell back toward him. Seeing that the immediate threat was gone he turned his attention to the remaining two members of the Crime Syndicate. Once again Deathstroke loaded his grenade launcher and took aim. He fired, slamming the winged woman in the chest, and engulfing the two villains in a plume of searing flame.
Actions:
Free) Lex will Perplex Red Hood to 3 damage
1.) Red Hood will attack King Condor, 9 on a 12. Needs a 3 to hit, rolls a 4+6=10 for the KO.
2.) Deathstroke will push to use Energy Explosion targeting Queen Condor. 7 on a 14, needs a 7 to hit both. Rolls a 5+5=10 for hit and knockback on both. Armor piercing ensures damage to Sea King. Uses Willpower to ignore push damage.

"Katar!" screamed Queen Condor as she watched her husband's helmet explode and his limp body fall to the ground. With tears welling up in her eyes, she grabbed Sea-King once more and flew in behind Deathstroke, using him as cover against the other two. As she put Sea-King in position to attack, it took every once of will she could muster to keep from going to King Condor. She didn't even know if he was alive or dead, but she couldn't worry about that right now. This battle had suddenly become about survival, pure and simple. And Queen Condor was nothing if not a survivor.
Syndicate turn 14
1) Push. Queen Condor grabs Sea-King and flies to O11, dropping Sea-King at N10. Queen Condor takes 1 pushing damage.
Lex knew that they needed to end this engagement swiftly and get out. He saw some cover a bit to the south of his position and moved to it. "Jason, I need you to move in too. We need to finish this now."
"Already on the way."
Actions:
1.) Lex moves to L15
2.) Red Hood moves to I 13. Willpower to ignores push.

"By Neptune, I will end this now!" roared Sea-King, but he knew it was false bravado. Even as Deathstroke dodged his attack, he knew the man's incendiary grenades has taken too great a toll. He was dehydrated, weak. He needed to escape, to return to the soothing, restorative depths of the sea. What he didn't know, was how he was going to accomplish that.
Queen Condor watched as Deathstroke dodged Sea-King's blow. She knew she had to run, but her singed wings were badly damaged. "If this water-logged buffoon can hold them off for just a moment longer," she thought, "I might just make it out of here alive."
"Slade watch out, I'm taking a shot at the bird." Lex took aim at the winged woman thinking to cripple her so that Wilson or Jason could finish her off. Instead of aiming center mass tough, he decided to target the attachments for her wings hoping that it would make them unusable. He pulled the trigger, but just as the shot sounded the woman jerked to the side. She had been pulled out of the way by the damned Sea King! "Damnit Wilson take that guy out!"
Deathstroke knew he didn't have the strength left to take the tyrant down in one shot, but he could weaken him a bit more. He couldn't use the power fist again as it had been crushed in his last clash with Sea King. He reached into a different pouch on his belt and pulled out a slim durasteel combat knife. It had a small motor in the handle that made it vibrate almost imperceptably to the user, but with that slight aid the blade could cut through anything, even Ultraman's dense flesh.
Wilson moved in on his opponent, he stepped hard in the water to send up a spray into the Sea King's face, "Enjoy your water, fool" and he rushed forward through the spray and stabbed the man in the ribs. The magnificent blade didn't even slow when it hit Sea King's fabulous chain link armor, and then again as it pierced his dense flesh and muscle. "I really hope that hurts you as much as it would me."
Actions:
1.) Lex will target Queen Condor with a ranged combat attack. 8 on a 12, needs a 4 to hit. Rolls a 1+2=3 (are you f,ing joking right now dice roller?!)
Free) Lex will perplex Deathstroke to an 8 attack.
2.) Deathstroke will attack Sea King 8 on a 14, needs a 6. Rolls a 6+1=7, hit for 1 with armor piercing.

(I believe Deathstroke should have one action token, Lex should have two, and Red Hood should have none. I've updated the map and recap accordingly. Feel free to correct it if I've missed something. Not that it really makes much difference at this point. )
Out of the corner of his eye, Sea-King saw the muzzle flash from Luthor's pistol. Reflexively, with inhuman speed, he grabbed Queen Condor and pulled her aside. Though he was merely using her to shield himself from Luthor's bullet, to everyone else present it looked like he had saved her life. This momentary distraction gave Deathstroke an opening, and he took full advantage of it. Sea-King felt the blade pierce his flesh. In agony, he lashed out blindly, but the blow came nowhere near his tormentor.
Queen Condor felt herself yanked roughly to the side, even as she heard the crack of the gunshot and the whine of the bullet as it flew by. "He saved me." she thought wonderingly. Her plan had been to make a run for the transport while the Society's attention was focused on Sea-King. Instead, weather due to some feeling of gratitude or a sense that she might still need his help, she grabbed Sea-King and flew behind a ruined building.
Turn 16B
*Not sure if training matches stop at turn 15 like regular story matches do, but I would like to play it out for the exp for my characters.
You are correct. I only put one token on Lex when he pushed when he should have had two there. It was right in my head and wrong on paper thanks for fixing it lol.
Story:
Deathstroke saw the two villains flying away, and he knew that he couldn't let them escape. "I'm moving into a better position. Jason come in, Lex make sure they don't go around the back and get away!"
Actions:
1.) Deathstroke moves to O10. Willpower to ignore pushing.
2.) Red Hood moves to M14.

(I think training games have the same turn limit as regular games, but I'm willing to play it out so you can finish me off. :knockedou Your editor will have to make the call on the extra experience.)
As she flew behind the ruined building, Queen Condor's damaged wings shuddered and folded flat against her back. Dropping like stones, she and the exhausted Sea-King hit the ground hard. The jarring impact stunned them both. As they lay sprawled on the ground, they could hear the Society members moving in for the kill.
I'm going to assume (probably a bad idea ) from your last post that you're not going to move. If I am wrong let me know. I'm just going to clear my guys on Turn 17, have you sit still, and then make the attacks in turn 18 **And 19 since I couldn't hit in 18, had to re edit this post after the crit miss -_-**and 20...***. If you don't want to pass the turn then ignore what I have done in this post for turn 18 and 19 *and 20*. My clearing in turn 17 will stand as my turn.
When you get your team started up and need someone to play your enemy for an arc match or just want to do a training match let me know! I enjoyed our game
Turn 18B
Story:
Deathstroke thought he had an easy shot. He had his targets together in a bottleneck, and he had Jason standing by to move in and mop up. This would be like shooting fish in a barrel! Once again pulling out his grenade launcher he took aim and the winged woman, but just as he was pulling the trigger his feet were taken out from under him by a wave of fish! As he fell to the ground he pulled the trigger and was caught in his own explosion.
Lex saw what had happend to Wilson, he actually thought it was quite funny. Even though the King of the Seas was almost dead he still had the wits to call out to his little sea friends to save him. lex moved in, he would take this one down himself.
Actions:
1.) Deathsroke will Energy Explosion Queen Condor, 7 on a 12, on a 13 for Sea King, needs a 6 to hit both. Rolls a 1+1=2 for a crit miss.............. -_-
Story:
Deathstroke was furious. His aim had been thrown off by fish.. FISH! He loaded another grenade and quickfired at Queen Condor. The grenade exploded into her chest and filled the area with flame scorching the nearby walls. Sea King came out unscathed though by using the bird girl as a shield! "Damnit, Jason go in and kill the Hawk! I want the coward hiding behind her dead!"
Red Hood charged in to the narrow gap. He saw the Condor barely standing just inside, so he leaped up onto the wall took two horizontal steps along it and launched off with a vicious kick to the jaw that dropped her instantly. Now he was standing face to face with the Sea King, and he was looking much the worse for wear.
Actions:
1.) Deathstroke will again EE. needs a 7 for both, or a 6 for Condor. 5+1=6, for a hit on Condor only. Willpower to ignore push.
2.) Red Hood charge to P15 onto Condor. 9 on a 12 needs a 3 to do 2 damage. rolls a 5+4=9 for the KO.
Lex was tired of this battle. He had had enough of the Crime Syndicate, and he was going to finish it. Lex charged out of cover straight for Sea King, whose attention was focused on the Red Hood. He came in from the side with a titanic right hook (made exponentially more powerful by the energy shield he had covered his fist with) straight to the jaw of the mad tyrant. The force of the blow shattered the Sea King's jaw and sent him sprawling to the ground.
"It's over Wilson, grab Kuttler and let's get out of here." Lex looked around wondering what had brought the Crime Syndicate to this place anyway.
____________
Beneath the battlefield, a red light began to blink rhythmically in a dark room. That light gave off just enough light so that very sensitive eyes, eyes that hadn't seen light in over 20 years, could finally see their surroundings. And if he could see them, he could escape...
Actions:
1.) Lex Luthor will push to charge to O17 and attack Sea King. 9 on a 13. Needs a 4 to hit. Rolls a 2+6=8 for the KO.

I probably would have gone back for one more try at Deathstroke (especially after his crit miss ) but I like the way you ended it. Your story posts were great! The mysterious blinking light has got me hooked for reading next issue.
Thanks for letting me play. It was a very fun game. I will absolutely take you up on your offer to play when I get my team going. I just need to make the time to write up a proposal and submit it to the editor. :cross-eye
