I wouldnt worry too much about this $cash$ grab. The target audience will never be able to understand the rules.
If they do play I fully expect these kids to get b-slapped by the older competitive players and they will all quit before they get started just my 2 cents.
The longevity of this should be slightly longer than IronMaidenClix and HelloKittyClix.

Horrible idea, and I've been a supporter of "Alt-Clix" (Trek, LOTR, heck even Maiden and Pac-Rim)
But this game exists already, in card form, and the reason I don't play that card game is because I don't like the idea/characters/look of it all. The "Yu-Gi-Oh crowd" at any game store I've ever been to is by and large the worst (see LOUD, punkish regardless of age, and honestly stinkiest).
How the heck are we getting video game and cartoon heroclix sets and we haven't even got any other comic publisher sets?
I'm wondering the same thing. As they go after all these toy and game properties, are they even talking to the likes of Image, Dark Horse, IDW, Top Cow, Valiant, or Nickelodeon?

What target audience? If it's little kids due to the anime, then no.
If it's the same adults that play the TCG, then the game wouldn't be hard to grasp considering the same convoluted use of phases of the game, errata, timing, and rulings are used.
There is epic irony in a show about a card game becoming a miniatures game.
If they were really smart about this, they would expand from the basic HeroClix rules and combine a miniatures game with a deck building game. Draw cards, put monsters on the board, and let the miniatures battle it out just like the TV show.
However, because the card game is pretty much guaranteed to continue, this won't happen and Yu Gi Oh HeroClix will end up just being another strange expansion.
Did not see this coming. Well, we've officially breached the anime wall. Can Dragon Ball Z be far behind?

This would be really nice. I stopped Judging and Playing YGO because of the terrible community. I'd hate to see their plague stretch into clix.
I'm just mad we're getting this before (instead of?) Naruto or Rurouni Kenshin clix.
And I'm afraid of thieving Yugi players infesting our game with their sticky fingers.
God is smarter than we are....
