Payback time. Drac on Blade, AV10 on DV17, Flurry and Blades. Gets 4 on the first attack, 10 on the second. Blades on the second roll is 2, so only 1 after Toughness. Not so payback-y after all. Drac does Steal Energy for 1.
Colleen FLurries on Spider-Girl, AV9 on DV16 +2. Gets 4 and 7.
Vampire on Spider-Girl, AV10 on DV16 +2, he gets a 9. 2 to her. His Steal Energy and her Mystics cancel.
Larry on Vulture, AV8 on DV17 +2. Gets 6.
Shemp on Shocker, AV9 on DV16. Gets 6. 1 to Shocker after Toughness.
"Whose reckoning?" Dracula asked, using his great strength to slam Blade into a wall.
"I am not out yet," Blade said in defiance.
"That's the attitude!" Spider-Girl cheered him on. "And then when you slay all your vampires you can give me a hand against this mummy. You do do mummies, right? I mean I know you bill yourself as a vampire-slayer, but it's all about diversification, am I right?"
"Man-Thing," Daimon Hellstrom said in surprise as the shambling swamp monster appeared and tried to catch the Defender in his grasp.
"Yes," Nightmare said. "So. Are you frightened yet?"
I forgot that we're playing to 1500! I would've done a direct replacement. Oh well, no biggie.
So yes, Daimon uses protected and takes a token/click.
I'll start by pushing Shocker. Once again he tries to go for Shemp and once again the freakin' Zuvembie makes the shape change roll with a 6. Shocker's out.
Blade rolls for regen: 5. Sweet, he's up three.
Spider-Girl carries Blade away to F10, she's G10. Blade heals 1 up more. Two can play at that game, Dracula.
Lots of characters with tricky sps here. Johnny Blaze to break? 2. He goes for Man-Thing. Needs 7, rolls 8. 1 to Man-Thing. 1 to Johnny, too.
Vulture vs. Larry. Needs 4, rolls 3. Oh for Pete's sake.
Well I want to use at least one more character who can take advantage of the Jackal's sp. Enter Dracula. He'll hss to G11, picking up the HO in D8, attacking your Drac. SC is 1, cool. Needs anything but a 2, rolls 8. So that's 5 + 2 (ho) + 1 (Jackal) minus 2 for invulnerable, 5 total. Drac ends in E9.
Jackal I8
Dracula @ E9

Johnny Blaze @ (1) J11
Vulture @ J14
Spider-Girl ASM27 (2) @ G10
Blade ASM04 (2) @ F10

"I am as surprised as you," the other Nightmare says striking him, "Well, perhaps not as surprised." He disappears before his doppelganger can retaliate.
"Is that how I make others feel?" Nightmare ponders.
"How?" Daimon wonders as turns to the resident mage, Dr. Strange.
"My cloning skills and Strange's magic combined," says the Jackal, "We make a lethal pairing."
"Sadly," Stephen adds.

Drac doesn't start on click 1, remember. He's got one of those dials where he starts, in his case, on click #4, and you have to use his Steal Energy to work him up to his fully fed potential. So no HSS for you.
Gonna change to Nightmare instead, ok? From K3 he attacks himself. Av becomes 14, damage 5, both thanks to Jackal. AV gets another boost since your Nightmare has a token. Needs 4, gets 10. SS is 1. That's 5 to Nightmare.
I'm going to tweak the story to match.
FYI I don't plan on drafting all of the same characters as you, not to worry. It's just that Jackal's sp is cool and these same figures (Drac, Nightmare) I also haven't used.

Nightmare vs. Nightmare. Needs anything but 2, rolls 9. Your Nightmare is toast and I'm getting my 75 point figure. Since we're extending this game should we allow a 125 point figure to be unlocked?
Blade to break? Gets 4 so he charges to G11 attacking Drac. SC is 6, darn it. Ok, he attacks Dagger. Needs 7, rolls 4.
Daimon on Man-Thing. Needs 8, rolls 10. 1 to him. 1 to Daimon.
Daimon outwits Man-Thing's toughness.
Torch on Man-Thing. Needs 6, rolls 6. 3 to him. 1 to Johnny.
Might as well bring in Ghost Rider for Johnny Blaze. He attacks Man-Thing. Needs 5 to ko him, rolls 7. 1 to GR and MT's out.
Strange to I10 blocking d.r. Remember that adjacent figures share the Defenders ta.
