The Scarlet Witch gasped. "Vision," she exclaimed, "those cave dwellers just captured Tigra! We have to do something." From her cutrrent vantage point, she could not, however, draw a decent line of fire to any of the Avengers' adversaries.
Moon Knight and Iron Man also could do little against the Moloids at the moment. They took a brief pause and watched carefully for their opportunity.

Namor's anger was beginning to rise. Not only had these foul Moloid creatures dared to desecrate the sacred ruins of ancient Atlantis, but now he and his allies were forced to waste time battling them while the evil sorcerer, Kulan Gath, drew ever nearer his goal. Every moment was precious, and yet the Avengers cat woman had allowed herself to be captured! The situation was nearly intolerable!
His anger was slightly assuaged, but only slightly, as he watched Silver Surfer and Hellcat dispatch two of the Moloids.
Unfortunately, the creatures seemed to take no more notice of their fallen companions than they had of the collapsing ceiling moments before. Their raucous chanting went from "furry one" back to "destroy" as they renewed their attacks.

Hellcat felt pressure like never before. It seemed like every time they were able to eliminate on of the crusty Moloids, 2 more took it’s place. She strained and attacked another of the filthy creatures sending it into sweet oblivion but sank to one knee after in exhaustion. Meanwhile Clea changed an ancient spell causing her physical form to dissappate into a cloud of smoke and re appear next to what could only be the leader of the creatures. One more follow up spell and the tiny minded creature was staring blankly into her eyes momentarily pacified. Namor struck with precision accuracy kicking the creature and sending it and Tigra flying backward into the nearby wall. The Moloid fell unmoving and Tigra was free once more looking more wild eyed than ever.
"We must hurry allied!" Namor shouted above the dull roar of battle.

Dust filled the air; the earth rumbled beneath the heroes' feet and the roof continued its worrisome crumbling. Namor and Silver Surfer had done all they could to support the ceiling of the catacombs, but Apophis' efforts to free himself made the environment even more dangerous and challenging.
The catacombs were awful, and the Scarlet Witch even tried to draw upon her Chaos Magic to clear the air, but something seemed to work against her here. She coughed on the dust and failed to hurt the Moloid she attacked.
Iron Man finally managed to land a good strike against the closest Moloid. It screeched like a bat or mouse under the powerful force of Iron Man's armored gauntlet.
- ('free') Scarlet Witch uses Chaos Magic/Perplex to decrease the Defense value of Moloid B (in B20).
- Scarlet Witch attacks Moloid B (in B20) > AV9 vs DV15 -1 (Perplex) > roll: 2+2=4 MISS.

When do the Serpent Society get to move? Directly after the Moloids this round?
Both the moloids and the Serpents are controlled by the same villain player, so they are all one force under him. The only distinction is that only up to three actions can be assigned to the Serpents, and only two can be given to the moloids. The snakes don't get 5 actions just because the Moloids get wiped out.
Sorry for the delay. We had a lot of family visiting this weekend, and I didn't have any game time.

An eerie quiet was settling upon the chamber. The grinding and cracking of stone had almost ceased. The clamor of Moloid voices had been silenced, save for a thin "furry one!" emitted by one of the two remaining subterranean creatures as it made a clumsy, easily avoided attempt to grab Tigra.
Clea relaxed her concentration as the spell of pacification she had used on the Moloid dissipated. Suddenly, her mystically attuned senses detected a new, far more dangerous threat. "The Serpent Society... they're here!" she cried. "They must have followed us into the tunnels, or found some other route in... Kulan Gath! He cast a spell of summoning! Be wary!"
"Where...?" asked Black Mamba as her eyes adjusted to the dim light of her surroundings.
"In the catacombs beneath Atlantis," answered Copperhead.
"Atlantis!" exclaimed Boomslang. "The Cap'n 'd wet himself if he saw me here in the accursed city itself!"
"Why are we here?" asked Fer-de-Lance. "How did we get here?"
"We are chosen soldiers of Apophis. We have been summoned by the wizard, Kulan-Gath, to stop anyone from interfering as he makes his way to the Altar of Apophis. Now come, the enemies of Apophis approach from this direction," said Copperhead as he moved silently into the gloom.

Silver Surfer twisted away from one of the little monsters and moved directly in the middle of the remaining two Moloids. He gripped his board and swung it in a wide arc connecting with both creatures, knocking one unconscious and sending the last one flying back.

Sersi gave a nod of acknowledgement to Namor, thanking him curtly for keeping fragments of rock from the catacomb ceiling from falling on her and her teammates. She felt the spindly body of the last Moloid hit her leg after it was knocked back by the Silver Surfer's powerful attack. She looked askance at the floundering humanoid and said, "Yes, these creatures," swatting contemptuously at it and clipping its jaw enough to knock him soundly out, "are naught but an obstacle. We have to deal with these despicable minions of Apophis quickly."
Tigra leapt across the cavern to Namor. "Thank you for freeing me from that... creature," she said to the liege of Atlantis. "It would have been awful to stay underground..."

Garganis PM'd me some background on the RPSC version of the Serpent Society, so I've edited my last story post to try to make them a little more in character.
also, may Namor use Carry with Tigra?... "... may carry one friendly character.
For what it's worth, I don't see why not.
The serpents crept silently through the passageway, listening and watching for any sign of their adversaries. Each was prepared to do anything, sacrifice everything, to bring their snake god into the world.
