our store is hosting regionals... its the ballarat store, why wasnt that store mentioned?

well we had our regionals tonight, we had two people finish with 3 wins( ireckon there should of been a playoff match)

i came in 2nd with three wins losing by 1 point!



but there will be last chance qualifiers on the 3rd or 10th of august(one of those days) our goodgames store owner told us it was okayed so i will have another chance at least

Just wanted to announce that Goodgames Ballarat have been given the go ahean to host a Last Chance Qualifier for the Nationals on the 24th and 25th of August at DraGGon, the first Good Games Convention, being held at Bankstown Sports Club in Sydney.

In order to make it easier for Melbourne players to make it up for this event, we're going to be holding it on a weekend instead of our usual wednesday night. The Last Chance Qualifier will be on Sunday the 11th of August, starting at 1pm. The format will be a semi-constructed/semi-sealed tournament. Build a 250pt modern age team, and choose any 7 single figure boosters from the shelf to build an additional 250pt squad from. Combine them into a single 500 point team. Cost is $25 for this event.

Note that if you use an ATA in your constructed squad, you must add its point cost to that of anyone in your sealed team that has the appropriate keywords.

i dont suppose you can make it a 4 round tourny in case if multiple undefeated(people with three wins) happens to occur

Do you know if the Blackburn and / or Geelong stores have had regional events as well?

I'm trying to ascertain how many regional events each state has been having, as every other state seems to be holding two, but it sounds like Victoria is holding four?

Because of the nature of the reporting by stores I'm trying to find out from people who are playing what they know is happening / has happened.

A four round tournament was the instruction we received from GG Organised Play.

We didn't set or get told a certain number of turns for the regionals. We generally run three rounds on sundays in Burwood, so that's what ran the day we did the regional.

I have no idea what's happening with the other regional in Sydney.

The format is 400 Modern Age but do we included Wolverine and X-Men or not.

Assuming that it comes out on time I think it may come about a week or 2 before the event which doesn't give players a lot of time to get pieces from it.

Sorry for the delay in replying, wanted to discuss with M.O.D.O.C. and Good Games OP about this.

Any stock that is available through Good Games stores 2 weeks or more before the date of the constructed event (ie in store by Sunday 11th August) is valid for use in the Constructed event on Sunday the 25th of August.

If stock comes in after that it may still be used for the sealed event on Saturday the 24th of August.

I've noticed on the draGGon events page that the sealed event will consist of a draft. How will the draft work specifically?
