Just awesome. 50-75 points is what I think most X-Men characters should cost (most pieces in general actually), and his special with prob control is very representative of the character. My only gripe is the costume vs. his classic look. I really like this piece.

He didn't have one with the first design - how much research do you think they put into these figures?

He brick meat most bricks charge 4-6 he only has a range of 5. With a 16 most bricks will hit on a 6.

Which is why I think he will be used mostly by fans of the character - which I love.

I hate seeing all these "Flash fans" using Ghost Rider, Alyosha Kraven, or Mole Man, etc. I'd much rather see someone use characters they really enjoy and, more to the point, I'd rather use the characters I like without seeing everyone else using them, too.

As for Longshot; elevated terrain, Barrier, Smoke Cloud, other targets, tie-up pieces, etc will all make him worthwhile. I can't wait for this set and more previews!

I'm saddened by the lack of mullet.

There will not be a prime version of him, the prime for the commons is Deathlok.

He does look at a good piece, much better then his original carnation.

The first Longshot came out almost a decade ago. Is a near ten year gap really a power creep? That's like comparing Infinity Challenge and Hypertime to the sets released last year.

The lack of Super Senses on the Mutant Mayhem version drove me nuts. If any fig deserved SS and Prob (which is a sweet combo) Longshot is most deserving IMO. And now they screw it up again. Bah! I really like the trait, but his "good luck" powers should really help him from being hit with an attack like Spider-man or Daredevil, who almost always have close to a full dial of SS.

Is there any particular reason why this sculpt looks nothing at all like Longshot?

I suppose I could butcher my old Unique from Mutant Mayhem and plop that figure on this dial, because it much more accurately reflects the character - but still, I shouldn't have to do that...

I too have wanted Longshot to be redone. I like the dial and sculpt.

I don't think that would work, as the trait specifically refers to him rolling two 6's.
