It was a light-hearted poke at the currently unbalanced state of Heroclix. Try not to take yourself, or the game, too seriously.
And I have no idea where this is coming from either...
You post something that doesn't make sense to me, I say that it doesn't make sense to me, and that's taking myself too seriously? You lost me....

Um, that is what I said. I said it includes a line about using only 2x3 maps, and you just quoted a line about only using 2x3 maps. I didn't say it mandated it, but it does include it as a possible suggestion.

Really? Okay. Here's what happened.
1. Discussion on Heroclix rules was had.
2. A comment was made (by me) that Wizkids could stand to be a little clearer on what official rulings are. They are a bit wishy-washy.
3. You replied.
4. I rejoined your comment and included a light-hearted jab at the currently unbalanced state of Heroclix.
5. You were confused.
6. I tried to explain.
7. You remained confused.

You didn't say it was an optional format either. Especially in reply to someone complaining about the (legal) use of the small maps, your response read as if you were saying the rule is to use the 2x3 maps only.

The mini maps are fun to play but not when you have two TB on them...Have no problem playing them if you have actual teams...The team bases just aren't fun on them

We allow them, with the caveat that if the forces won't fit (or in the judge's opinion it's too small for the force sizes) you have to choose a different size map. We've had some 100 point events where they were a lot of fun. It's not (IMO) a problem to allow them, it's a problem to do the "hands in the air, it's legl so there's nothing I can do about it" thing if you're the judge. Use some, you know, judgement.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Here we are.
I think the confusion comes from a couple of things.
The comment didn't come across as a light-hearted jab, it came across as an attempt to connect two things that have no connection. Maybe that's in the phrasing, or maybe the number of posters here who want to blame game design for everything from unrest in the Middle East to global warming, or maybe some of both. Then your attempt to "explain" might have come across better without the "try not to take yourself too seriously" rider: that doesn't read like explanation, it reads like "if you didn't get my joke it's your problem, not mine".
I'm not saying that was the intent: written comment often carries baggage we never intended. But you need to be aware of how a post could be read, and not dismissive of other people's perceptions.
