This I understand, but it seemed OP was saying, on a force of 5 with 1 shard assigned and 3 on the base, all 5 characters could use the resource. I was stating that on a force of 5 with 1 assigned shard only the 1 assigned character could use the resource.

Yeah, I've seen some pretty awesome ideas in this thread, but I don't think it's any more broken than the others. The Defenders with 20 def thing is nice, but that's a 200 point investment, and it's not even the only way you can do that. Invulnerability can be formidable, but a lot of people plan for penetrating damage nowadays (ma10 Iron Man has it). Even if you don't, it won't slow down heavy hitters too badly....it's not Impervious after all.

Meanwhile, the resource is only powered up by rolling doubles on a hit or killing someone, topping out after you do one or the other 4 times. Doubles isn't reliable enough to plan for, and most teams don't have much more than 4 guys, so if you get that far, you're already doing well enough. It also needs multiple figures to build up more quickly, and that increases the cost (also, increases the likelihood that you'll run into someone who already has Invulnerabilty).

It's good, and it works well on a variety of builds, but it's not overwhelming compared with any of the others.

Well, the more I think about it, I'd say it should be a double power action to keep it from getting out of hand.



But I do think that you're onto something. Perhaps a "Nerd Rage" resource equipped to the actual player could be good.

It'll be better once all 5 shards are out and you can assign 1 to a character, and leave the other 4 on the resource dial which will start you in the last (and best) grouping.

For what you listed it's only like 1 100 point investment.
Dr Strange just makes it better-er by giving ES/D perplex, and a Genuine Defenders TA that could be copied by a wild card who doesn't have the resource.

But like... for bare bones 20D
on 1 character other than Ant-Man... its like 102 points. 75+27 PF(2 characters, 3 chickens)

Also because they are tiny Ant man and the duo get +1 defense from ranged attacks.

And if you miss the duo with an attack unavoidable damage starts getting passed out.

Also, if they target ant-man first, and manage to knock him off his first click, everyone can heal him. Then, if they do manage to kill him, your duo can split and morph into a replacement.

After that you pretty much auto win after they rage quit.
