Given the rampant negativity, entitlement, and willful butthurtitude that have been way too common on the realms (especially) in the past week, I don't blame them for not going out of their way to advertise the Q&A here.
Slap in the face, it ain't.
True, but the best way to mitigate nerdangst has been communication. This is pretty true historically. Rumor->speculation->worst case scenario->torches/pitchforks->fact->reactor returns to non-critical levels.
And to clarify: I'm not saying "This should have been given to the Realms first," or "how dare they not say anything to us," or "I expect WK to send me a rosewater-scented envelope containing an invitation to their every move." I am, however, saying that with things like the DnD minis/DnD-Clix rumors, the War of Light rumors, the ConLE rumors, the Tolkien Super-Booster rumors, and all the normal background chatter, that either Munchoboy or Ziran could have easily tossed out "Hey, we're doing an AMA over at Reddit also. Feel free to come ask us questions," during all their time over here the other day.
Heck, I wouldn't even have showed up, as I don't really ever use Reddit. But the heads-up should have happened.

Munchoboy already said there is going to be no Tolkien Super-boosters.

I know, how dare the customer get upset about lack of communication, service, or even a good figure replacement plan.

Did anyone on the Realms know about this beforehand? Because if not, that's kind of a slap to this site. The Realms rarely gets information or communication until we're foaming at the keyboard, but Reddit gets an AMA.
Something feels rotten in the state of Wizmark.
For what it's worth, the Heroclix Subreddit didn't get any warning either.

If Wizkids wants to work on advertising their Q&A's without relying on a third-party website, that's fine by me. There was (reportedly) a heads up. That it was not officially issued through hcrealms is not the slap that some are making it out to be. Just my two cents.
Could Ziran have advertised the AMA on hcrealms? Yes. Should he have? Debatable (I see potential merits and detriments). Is it offensive that he did not? Depends on how personally you want to take it, I guess.

Please don't put words in my mouth, Steel. Not even by inference. I believe that healthy criticism is necessary for heroclix to improve and continue; I have always promoted that belief. I do not, however, find myself surprised or offended that Wizkids might want to hear opinions and questions from fans other than the usual hcrealms crowd. That's assuming that a lack of notification for 'realmsers was a calculated decision. It may just not have occurred to them as important to do so.
But hey, there are posts on the first page of this thread referring to the AMA and its avenues of announcement as a "slap (in the face comes optional)." I can't justify that type of response (seen in many other threads as well) as anything other than entitled and negative.
Just my (other) two cents. Spare change for everyone. Woo.

Well, you made statement that did not seem to me to define what you meant, which is why I reacted that way, maybe I jumped the gun a little. What I get sick of is when someone has a legimate complain (such as OP Kit problem, better figure replacement, lack of telling anyone of delays, or other concerns), some people tell that person that they are entitled or a whiner. These people do not even know what entitlement means, much less whiner, but they throw the word around like they do.
Like I have said in before, in the old days, there was not as much negativity as there is today. But in this case, a good percent of the negativity is understandable and it is issues that should be resolved.

THIS.
Add to the list of inflammatory words, "butthurt" and the like.
Such language is dismissive at best and outright derisive at worst.
I furthermore agree that Wizkids could do a lot do avoid all the negativity around here by acting like any other company and having some way for their customers to contact them with returns, defective product, or any other concern that they might have.

Now see, I can get behind that line of thought. Quality control is a legitimate issue. There are plenty of legitimate issues. They should not be dismissed as whining or entitlement. It's the overreactions to both legitimate issues and nonissues that I think make hcrealms feel excessively negative as of late.
Heck, I almost overreacted to your post before I pulled my head out my butt and thought better of it. I just get sick of negativity feeding into negativity on the 'realms, ya know?
I guess.......not to keen on waiting a full year after initial release to get one though....
I'm okay with that.
It's better than having con exclusive STAY excluvise forever right ?
I think guys actually going to con deserves SOME form of exclusivity FOR A TIME but that after one year, all pieces should be released to everyone in stores and/or online
As for collectability, they can number the store edition differently if they want... as long as the dial itself and the sculpt are the same
If Wizkids wants to work on advertising their Q&A's without relying on a third-party website, that's fine by me.
Did they let ANYONE, ANYWHERE know about it in advance? I mean, who showed up for this? Ostensibly, you'd want as many people as possible to know about such a thing in advance, to get the, I dunno, WIDEST POSSIBLE AUDIENCE????
Allegedly it was posted on their Facebook page. It wasn't a topic on their page however, it was posted in a response to someone else's post on their page.
It is a slap in the face OR it's stupidity from their part (communication has always be BAD from them).
Anyway, that should be answered with wallet staying shut/close for the next year.
That would teach them to respect us.
