NotShafer, Jaxx23, Squad52 -- Lupin3rd offers some good advice. Unfortunately, vigilante justice is not our best option here (I don't even own hockey pads!). When I find myself in situations like this, I always think of this Basic Instructions comic, "How to Threaten Vengeance." When it comes down to it, I want the law on our side, not Mark's.
DBailey31 -- good to hear. Keep us posted.
I missed a call from Mark today, around 10AM Eastern. He left a voicemail, transcript as follows:
Quote
"Hey, what's up Rob, it's Mark from HCRealms. I'm calling to let you know that I'm gonna try my hardest to ship out today, but just to let you know that I am trying to get this done and taken care of. I'm working 'till 3:30 today but that should still be enough time after work. If you have any questions go ahead and give me a call back; my number is (redacted), bye-- thank you, bye."
I called him back just a couple minutes after ten and got his voicemail. Should've recorded the message I left, didn't think to at the time; it was to the effect that I was glad to hear from him and glad to hear he's taking care of business but that I do need my Black Witch, King Hyperion, and New Mutants Team Base (or the Zombie Kingpin and Electro that we originally agreed on) by tomorrow (Thursday), so I hope he uses overnight shipping.
If I get my clix tomorrow, then-- as I implicitly promised Mr. Watson-- that's it for me. If not, then on Friday I will have to take legal action. It's not what I'd prefer, honestly, but it is what it is.
So I got an interesting message from him today. It simply read:
Quote
I shipped your Superboy back today but I don't have your zip code. If you send it to me I will send you a tracking number.
Not sure how he could send to me without my zip code (which I sent when I sent him my address for the second time last night), but I sent it to him. Let's see if he sends me a DC number.
I also find it interesting that he was sending DBailey a Superboy Prime, too. I hope I get the right one...
I got the same "don't have your zip code " message. I just now received a tracking number. If he mailed multiple packages today, he may only have the receipts + tracking numbers and needed to match them up to the individual. Mine says delivery on Monday...guess we'll see.
Just adding my voice to the "I got ripped off by RisingAgainst" chorus.
while I did get a "I'm shipping you back your stuff" response yesterday, I did not get a tracking number or anything from him.
I did not have as much contact with him as everyone else. One message asking for a tracking # and then after everyone came out of the woodwork another saying I was going to report him for mail fraud.
He only responded back that he would send my figures once i left him negative feedback.

Glad to hear people are getting tracking numbers (and that the tracking numbers seem legit, no less! It's a christmas miracle). Hopefully they'll contain your actual figures-- please keep us posted. Malkvn, that seems very peculiar that he would insist on your leaving him negative feedback as a condition of returning your figures. Heck, if I'd known that leaving negative feedback was all I had to do to kick the machinery into gear on this mess, I'd have done it weeks ago! Comedy aside, that's some oddly self-loathing/self-flagellating behavior on Mark Watson's part.
I'm hoping we can leave enough of a trail with this thread that no matter what alias he uses in the future, word will persist that Mark Watson of California is a scammer, a bad trader, and not to be trusted. At this point, personally, I'm writing off the whole Southern California area as a no-trade zone, mentally casting it into the sea like that one Aquaman run; I acknowledge, however, that it might be time for me to have another cup of coffee.

He probably sent out a bunch of packages and has several tracking #'s, but doesn't know who's go to who.
He is asking for your zip code so he knows what tracking # is yours. Hopefully.
As I submitted my previous post, I got a PM notification from Mark "Rising Against" Watson himself, with a tracking number (9114901230803432568520, for those playing along at home). Estimates delivery of Monday, corroborating Squad52 & Jarimy123's theories of one big fat guilt-stricken trip to the post office. Reluctant though I am to go back on my promise of involving the authorities tomorrow if clix don't arrive today, I must confess curiosity to see what we all get delivered on Monday. What do the assembled think?

Mark,
Thank you for the message. A working tracking number, which you did not misplace, is a big step in repairing the damaged trust between us. It says, however, that the expected delivery date is Monday, rather than today. I understand that shipping takes time, but I feel I was very clear that your window to resolve this between us closes today. I will have to consider my course of action from here, and I will let you know what that may be.
Yours,
Rob Wilson
Speaking of courses of action, I have been advised by counsel that small-claims court may be the best way to resolve this issue. I would recommend anyone who feels antsy about a resolution to do a bit of weekend reading on the process of filing in small-claims court in their local area.

Bobcat, I'd say that if our deliveries arrive on Monday and are correct, then the situation should probably be considered handled. At that point, the only thing we've lost is time and shipping cost. It sucks, yeah, but at least we'll have our stuff back.
Hell, give it until Monday Rob. If a lot of empty packages or packages shipped to particular area codes in an attempt to look legit happen, you might be ready to suit up with the Red Lanterns
He said he sent my stuff today, but said he forgot to put in the Yellow Superboy Prime (the most expensive figure I shipped him) and also did not receive a tracking number.
Even my "I'm sorry, here's your stuff back" is sketchy.
EDIT; Nevermind on that. He re-messaged and said he didn't ship it yet and will do it tomorrow. We'll see if he actually does.
I'd give him 'til Monday, too; maybe the dude had a legitimate "Come-to-Jesus" moment and he will be a model trader going forward? Now, where did I put my teal marker?
I'm not sure what the motivation is here, but this seems to be his M.O. In the last few threads I read about him under different user names, he seems to build up a decent iTrader, target a bunch of lower-rated people, and then when he's caught send their stuff back. I have to say, I don't get it.
