You think those are pricey?
You better stay clear off any miniature wargaming, then.
I have a buddy into historical mini wargaming, and yeah you're right. But still, I'm used to Heroclix prices.

That sucks, man. I wish I had the freedom to travel around and crash with all of you guys. Do a weekend each year at a different place. Sweeeeet. Alas, I'll just have to keep myself warm at night with fond memories of MSU ripping your shirt open.

EDIT: That said, I've played the game a few times, and nothing really struck me as horrible, mechanically, and that is usually one of the first things that stick out to me. So, favorable review, I guess?
I've been a huge zombie fan since the mid 90's when I saw NotLD for the first time. I get how the saturation can turn people off these days. Sometimes I feel it, too.

Got an interesting quandary. I can't login on a computer, but I'm still logged in on my phone. The password reset thru email doesn't work from either. Suggestions?

I think the NotLD series was probably the only portion of the zombie genre I liked at all in the first place. The original Dawn of the Dead, in particular, was pretty fantastic and the metaphors were interesting.
Now it's just a gore and scare contest every time. Or it's people really digging deep into the survival element, and in my personal experience, way too deep. There's having prepper friends (have some), and then there's having zombie apoc prepper friends (have some of those too). They're both ####ing crazy, but one is clearly a step ahead of the other on the crazy scale.

Send 'em some links about the Yellowstone supervolcano. If they're going to prep for crazy, you might as well drive some business to your local hydroponics store.

Oh no, they already bought into that one, hard. They just kinda threw their hands up, though, and kept telling people to enjoy their summer as much as they could.

I saw Linda "Hoshi Sato" Park in a Transamerica commercial this weekend, acting as an employee. It was very odd.
I just saw a commercial with ex football great Randy White, I am so flummoxed by a random Randy White endorsement of an obscure product I can't even express why I think it's strange. There's like 4 levels of bat#### going on in my mind as to why Randy White is in that commercial.

Not a fan of the running zombies. I think they're scarier and more metaphorical in their original slow appearances. Think about it. Zombies as a whole are a metaphor for death in real life. Mostly slow and plotting, but they're everywhere and you can get trapped by them. They never stop so you can cheat them a bunch of times, but eventually, they're going to get you. I really like to ponder the survival aspects of it, but deep down, I don't take the zombie apocalypse seriously at all. It's more of a fun thing to day dream about.
