I do like the new figures we've seen. But I only started playing in Organised Play 12 months ago, so to have two Marvel Avenger based SLOPs in a row is a bit disappointing, especially for a DC fan.
We are usually on the same page regarding heroclix stuff, my friend. The bolded part above is where we are differing a bit. While I might play in a single event or 2 at the most of this whole SLOP, it isn't likely. I'm not basing my opinions on relevant excitement over playing in the event or even playing them at all. I still have to track down a couple of the very few figures from the last SLOP I wanted to own, so I'm not even thinking about when I'll get any of these figures (I know I'll track down the cheapo's like She-Hulk soon after release, but its for modding reasons) I'm just talking about collecting the ones I like at some point in the future.
We are exactly on the same page where our excitement level for this event is though---bleh
truth. will i still play, sure. will i have fun sure because i LOVE this game. will i be donating most of the set away right away, HELL YEAH! i literally might play in the required (2 months) of these events at both my venues so i can get me a namor, and possibly a black panther/spidey/strange (depending on dial).
just makes me sad cause the last two wasps we got were PERFECT. include the duo from chaos war and i don't need another janet unless this one gets huge like when she took on the wrecking crew!

Regarding "they can't use ultra heavies" I think that's a good thing as damage values, on the whole, are what have made the game not that fun. Toning down damage values, of necessity, means fewer pieces that can even use ultraheavies - let alone reliance upon them. As damage values drop, the game will become more playable vs. one-hit KO's and there's hardly any game left (ie: alpha-strikes are less reliable if there isn't the heavy damage to load up with up front).
I think this is a good thing.
As is, She-Hulk and herc can dish out 6 damage with a heavy, and combo the object dmg with CCE latter dial.

I guess that embargo we thought was lifted for the X-Men is still in place for the F4. It's really weird having Namor in the set since he wouldn't have even been involved in the story without Sue.
As a fan of She-Hulk, I am vexed as to why they keep making her sculpts barefooted??
Because it's part of the plan, obviously. First - Barefoot. Second - pregnant and in the kitchen. Wizkids is clearly sexist and She-Hulk has yet to get a dial she deserves. Sorta , but sorta too.
For Pete's sake, Batfleckman tips the scales at 150 points, but She-Hulk hasn't hit 170 since Supernova? That's just wrong. 90-115 points does not an accurate She-Hulk make.
Not really digging this new direction. Hercules shouldn't weigh in at 90 points, ever. And we have better versions of She-Hulk already. Easy pass.
Yep, this is where I'm coming from. These two (and the earlier Cap and Iron Man reveal) make me nervous about Vision.
I think this point level will be good for Thunderbolts/Young Avengers for the most part though, so I still have hope for the set.
