But then Rogue was not adjacent to Toad and could not have used her Special Outwit to counter Toad's Combat Reflexes... Does that '10' refer to Rogue's Attack value or to her Attack dice roll?... And if she couldn't use her special Outwit before her Charge, would Rogue use it afterwards?... How?...
Rogue was able to come behind the pillar because she started behind her team after carrying avalanche. She charges. Attack roll rogue rolled 10 hit while he had ccr then outwitted it so Toad would be susceptible to avalanche.

okay… thanks for the clarifications… I would appreciate it if you guys could check the RECAP and the digital map renderings… I think I corrected the positions of Havok, Madrox, and Avalanche properly….
WCAvengers turn 3a:
It rubbed him the wrong way a little, but Hawkeye knew he had to get into the fray. The Avengers might have found some new and unexpected allies in Havok, Polaris, and Rogue, but they might not be allies for long: They were about to be overrun by a megalomaniacal Exodus and his Acolytes.
"Take me closer, quick!" he turned to Sersi. He had his bow and one of his great arrows at the ready.
The raven-tressed Eternal watched Exodus carefully from across the room. She knew that he was very powerful. She carried the Avengers' archer closer to the main fracas...
- Wasp uses Carry, moving to V9 and placing Ant-Man in W8.
- Sersi uses Carry, moving to X11 and placing Hawkeye in W12.
- ('free') Ant-Man uses Perplex to increase the Defense value of Hawkeye +1.

So when I was moving rogue I used the 4 and Madrox was using the 3 sorry about that I got the numbers mixed up so Madrox should be next to the enemy while rogue was in the spot you have Madrox. Sorry about that chief.
Madrox will attack lizard rolls an 11 hits deals 1 damage after toughness
Avalanche pushes to use quake rolls a 5 misses all targets but Mellencamp who takes 3 after toughness.
Polaris will attack Toad. She rolls a 5 and misses.

So I made a mistake and was playing #3 as rogue and #4 as madrox for the entire game until you pointed my mistake out with rouge. I was trying to place him to the left of avalanche and rogue behind avalanche. If this is not satisfactory I will gladly retake my turn.

that's fine with me; I'm just glad it didn't lead to any more confusing situation, like two figures in the same square or something...
nlnrose: do you have the map and figures set up or are you going only from the digital renderings of the game/issue?
also, Avalanche's attack roll of 5 hit Mellencamp/Lizard, who has (after Madrox's successful attack) 15 …
question: according to Avalanche's Trait, Mellencamp/Lizard would be dealt four damage, reduced to three by Toughness… how many squares would Mellencamp/Lizard be knocked back?
It would mean 3 knock back if he takes 3 damage. I'll edit the turn. Sadly I don't have half the pieces however I do remember what I was doing because I wanted to make sure rogue and Madrox could hit whoever came in to kill avalanche.

I looked at the wording for Quake and the knockback of two squares is separate from the damage lock. So I think Mellencamp may have only been knocked back 2 squares, since Avalanche doesn't say anything about changing how knockback is done.
"Acolytes, make them pay for hurting your brother!" Exodus shouted at them. He then felt Cortez give him an incredible burst of power, which Exodus used to rushed forward and raze the traitor Madrox's mind. Exodus then tossed Rusty to a prime position to fire on Avalanche.
A fireball to the face, was just the first of a salvo, as Skids rushed the traitor to their kind, while she missed, she made an opening for Toad to kick him in the gut. Vought also took a swing, but narrowly missed her mark. Mellencamp seemed to have recovered and rushed back into the battle sneaking up behind Rogue and Havok. Exodus felt pride in his Actolytes and then a sudden pain and weakness as if he had strained his magnificent power. He shrugged it off, he was only getting warmed up.
Free) Exodus rolls for leadership. succeeds with 5.
Free) Cortez will perplex up Exodus attack rolls a six so it goes to 14.
1.Exodus will Running Shot, Psychic blast, carry, to Q20 targeting Madrox, rolls an eight for the ko and placing Cortez in P20.
Free) Exodus will TK Rusty to S18.
2. Rusty will shoot at Avalanche. rolls a 10 deals 1 due to toughness.
3. Skids will charge to T18 swinging at Avalanche. Rolls a six missing.
Free)Toad will roll for pick a power rolls a 1
4. Toad will swing at Avalanche. Rolls an eleven hits for three.
5. Vought will swing at Avalanche rolls a five missing
6. Mellencamp will Leap Climb to X18.
Neophyte will clear and Exodus will take one unavoidable damage.

WCAvengers turn 4a
Wasp gasped. "Hank, did you see that?" She pointed at Exodus, whose face bore a revoltingly triumphant smile. Exodus appeared to be quite pleased with himself that he had been able to knock out Madrox so quickly and ruthlessly.
Ant-Man's eyes narrowed. "Yes, but look!" He gestured toward the Acolytes' leader, too, then at Fabian Cortz. "He seems to be feeding Exodus some sort of energy, but was it too much?"
Ant-Man addressed the Avengers' archer, "Hawkeye, we can't do much for Havok and his group right now. See if you can disrupt that darling couple."
Mockingbird leapt forward, as Hawkeye gave her a quick nod, acknowledging her supportive presence. She readied herself for a rush from the Acolytes.
"You got it, kids," Hawkeye quipped. <THIPP> The trusty bow of Hawkeye delivered its awesome missile, which solidly struck the conniving Cortez in the thigh. Hawkeye did not pause to savor the success, but rather quickly drew another arrow out of his special quiver. "I'd just as soon take out those rotten kids, too," he said.
- Mockingbird leaps to X13.
- Hawkeye attacks Fabian Cortez > 9 +2 (Sharpshooter special power) +1 (October 12th=Mockingbird's Trait) vs 16 +1 (hindering) > roll: 4+2=6 HIT; Fabian Cortez takes 3 damage.
- ('free') Ant-Man uses Perplex to increase the of Hawkeye +1.
