The Batman '66 Meets the Legion of Super-Heroes special was a fun book. I was a little disappointed that it is only a one-shot, but with the exception of Ferro Lad I think every named character in the book that has a line of dialogue exists in HeroClix.
I hadn't seen the solicit/announcement of "The Terrifics", but it reminds me of the use of Brainiac 5, Blok, Invisible Kid II, and Sun Boy in the post-Crisis/v3 arc which dealt with the Superboy/Pocket Universe continuity back in 1987.

I was reminded of the L.E.G.I.O.N. books where a time-displaced and memory-wiped Phantom Girl appeared in the 20th Century and became a member of L.E.G.I.O.N., at least until they revealed that, no, it wasn't really Phantom Girl, it was instead some previously-unmentioned relative of Phantom Girl's, so Phase was a completely different character.

The main thing I remember about that was how Byrne ripped himself off. There was an issue of Fantastic Four where they fought Gladiator (the Superman/Superboy ripoff) and the cover showed Gladiator having defeated the Fantastic Four.
So, when Superman fought these four Legion members, the cover showed Superman and the Legion in the exact same pose as the cover with Gladiator and the Fantastic Four.
