I think the new FF TA will not exist, along with the old one, I'll bet the FF will be omitted. Also, I find it disappointing that the new TA's will not be included on the new PAC. I remember when they were, and always appreciated it.
Edit: Just saw Surfer13's post regarding the FF.
Jim Cheung just posted some pencils from Marvel Legacy, specifically of Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm together. The caption was somewhat cryptic, like, guess what I'm working on?
Anyways, it gave me a glimmer of hope for the FF future, at least in comics, and we need all the glimmers we can get these days.
These have been around for a while, yeah?
I am not putting any money on it one way or the other, but it doesn't prove that when Wizkids rolls out the new rules and TAs that the FF will be there.
There's a difference between being tasked with scrubbing the site of all FF material and not being allowed to post new info regarding the FF.

This only makes me more curious for Monday. They kind of hand waved that there were other changes to the rules and what not but they weren't largely important.
Avengers TA (and the other obvious suspects) changing may not have a huge impact on strategy or game play, but it is a big change (simply by so many things being different).
So what else did they think wasn't a big deal?
Agreed.
I do not know how many TAs will be affected, but changing TAs is kind of a big deal, especially a change like this.

They're newer than the most recent figure to get a FF keyword
Point being, if the restriction was so draconian that they weren't even allowed to refer to a TA that older figures have, that post wouldn't be there.

W/o ATAs map choice is the only bonus Generic Keyword Theme Teams get with the current rules. To the best of my knowledge, they didn't mention anything about changes to Theme Teams in the articles. So they either completely wrecked Generic Theme Teams and don't care, or changed Theme Teams/TT Bonuses and didn't think it was important enough to mention before the final rules drop

THEMED TEAM BENEFITS
Initiative Bonus: Just after establishing themed teams, when rolling for first player, a player with a themed team increases their result by +1 for each character with the chosen keyword on their starting force.
SIDEBAR: This is the only benefit for a generic themed team.
So indomitable (Thor, Cap), Sharpshooter (Cap, Iron Man), multiple range targets (all 3), enhanced targeting (Cap, Iron Man) and Enhanced Movement (Cap) are all too complex / new-player-unfriendly?

I mean, it's not that they're too complex, but they aren't great pieces for players to learn the game with. Why in the world would you want pieces in a Quick Start kit to have every bell and whistle possible for the character? They all fit into a neat little 300 point team that's incredibly easily to learn and keep track of. Adding more features onto them doesn't really make them easier to learn, does it?

Not sure how I missed that yet caught the Leadership and Mastermind part, but thanks!
All this time I've been on pins and needles about ATAs and Generic Theme Teams and I could have known they were completely ruined a long time ago. I'm feeling a whole lot of grumpy sarcasm and snark coming on, so I'll bow out for a little bit.
The old Avengers/jla/(to a lesser extent) brotherhood ta was useless on any character 100 pts or more. That hasn't changed. This year we got a handful of bargain cheap figures to make actual use of the ta, but that's a drop in the bucket compared to the plethora of pieces on which it is still useless. And tmt demonstrates the glorious and well-received return of power pieces showing us that alphaclix is not the permanent state of the game. +1 to move is better for the majority of pieces than what currently tly is, assuming that's even what the new ta is, assuming the ta is new beyond newspeak wording
Keeping the old ta is only better if you think the average avengers/jla piece going forward for the rest of the game is going to be 50pts, and that's factoring in everything that's come before

This guy gets it.

Then Wizkids should have made a new Team Ability and given it to the new pieces. There was no need to hose the recently improved pieces, just to give other pieces a (very small) increase.
Shocker, they could have started giving more of the heavy hitters Avengers Initiative team ability -- which so far has been locked behind the movie pieces.
And let the lower point pieces get the regular Avengers team ability.
I get where both sides are coming from here. Because both TAs are niche.
Old JLA/Avenger TA: Only works on low costed figures. But it's amazing with them. However, I agree, you can't put this on a 100pt figure and expect to get ANY use out of it.
New JLA/Avenger TA: Can work every time. But would you actually ever use it every time? Really I find this amazing on taxis. But a GL Corps taxi isn't going to get the benefit if they carry more than 3. I just can't think of finding this very useful on non-taxis, when I think about it. But yeah, you can use it. Doesn't mean you're going to.

This is exactly where I'm at. It's about dial design. For instance, there's nothing wrong with the Mystics TA. Until you put imperious/invincible on the dial, then it's brutal.
