"I am Despero! You will know pain!" Despero says moving in on his foes.

"Oh God, remember this guy?" Beetle asks.

"How could I forget him? I have nightmares of the dude," Booster says. Despero targets Booster but he successfully dodges the charge.

"Maybe he's not so tough after all, eh, Beetle?". He turns to see his friend taken out.

"I've always told you both to pay more attention to your surroundings. There's your hard lesson," Batman offers.

Yeah, Despero is on my must play list for some point in this too. He's scary but fortunately, I have a lot of stuff to throw at him this turn.

John will use his RCE on Despero, AV11 on DV17. Gets 8 which will do him 3.

Superman HSS to C11 on Despero, pulls out the HO he's standing on, even if he can't use it in a HSS attack. AV12 on DV17. Gets 9. Oracle can I guess, PC that through Batman. Makes it 6. Impervious is 1. 2 more to Despero.

Superman to break for part 2 of his move? Gets 1. Crap.

Firestorm Perplexes his Damage to 4. RS to H12 on Despero, AV11 on DV16. Gets 10. 2 more to him after Invulnerable.

Okay, I have to put some thought into this. KOing him this turn is a possibility. Let's see what Booster can do first, AV10 on DV17. Gets 8, 2 more to Despero after Toughness. He's on his last click already.

"You think you frighten me? I could turn your mind to mush and then rip your body apart!" Despero threatened him.

"Maybe if it was one on one," Green Lantern said, hitting Despero. "But it's not. Superman's got friends."

"That's right!" Firestorm said, adding his power to the assault. "Something I'll bet you could never say!"

"Yeah, Despero!" Booster added. "You'll never know the joys of hanging out with your buds on a Sunday afternoon, cracking a few beers, joking around, watching the game. Doesn't that make you sad, just make you want to quit the whole evil tyrant thing?"

"You are an idiot!" Despero snarled.

"He's not wrong," Robin pointed out, trying to get a shot in.

"Despero? I guess I'm playing in the big leagues now," Batgirl said.

"Oracle is that...?" Batman asked her.

"If it isn't she's sure got the moves right," Oracle said.

"How?" Batman asked again.

"Not important. Keep your mind in the game."

That is so disappointing. I knew I was putting him at risk but I still hoped he'd be his usual killer self.

And not that it mattered but Oracle wasn't using pc last round.

I'll start with Aquaman. He attacks Robin. Needs 8, rolls 9. BCF is 3. 3 to him.

"Um guys?" Booster said. "All well and good, but the giant squid lady?" He tried his luck against her only to be repelled by her tentacles.

"They at least had the good sense to know they couldn't beat me," Queen of Fables said. "But then what would you expect of the comic relief?"

"Hey now!" Booster said, offended.

I'm not ready to lose Batman. We'll see if I can help him out.
