...and I've just realised, on re-reading the two lists that, if given a choice of what I might pull in an Indy Booster, only Wulf Sternhammer counts ahead of the Crossgen figs, at least as far as I'm concerned.
So, from my point of view, a level of "oh-rats" style disapointment is already built in to the release - as it no doubt is for USA players who want the REV Dark Judges more than Crossgen...and I just can't see that as being good for sales.
Ah well - at least we do get the Sam Ray Unique over here - not being able to pull THAT in a booster just 'cos I live in the UK would have been TOO much...
"Noman, even that wouldn't work, because I'd sell my own mother for a Robot Archie clik. While I'm at it, I'd also like Adam Eterno, the Leopard from Lime Street, the Steel Claw, Cursitor Doom, Spellbinder, the Blue Wizard, Oakman, Tanya and Mytek the Mighty. Heck, I'll even take a Hookjaw even though his movement on Heroclix maps would be awfully limited."
I'm impressed !
I would LOVE to see all the above, of course, but Robot Archie and The Spider would have to be favourites.
Oh, and don't sell your mother - I'm sure someone could work out a trade !
Robot Archie Clix - got to happen...
ALL - pm me if you have any of the USA only figs for trade.
Norman,
You should really check out Hellboy sometime, it a brilliant book. I just recently "discovered" it and have been totally blown away by it. Highly recommended.
Eesh, I don't know any of these Euro exclusives, but I DO know the Danger Girl characters that we don't get, and I also know Shi is one of the best figures in the set, giving Bullseye and Green Arrow a run for their money - and we don't get her.
Man, I'm glad I don't have the opportunity to play this game for real anymore. It's such a saving and less of a headache.
Retired, as per WK's rotation and judiciary replacement decisions. Talk about metaception.
Hey, Thunderbolts, keep playing, we'd hate to lose you...
...and that backs up what I said further up the thread - plenty of UK players know / want CrossGen etc, while plenty of USA players know / want 2000AD.

LoL, All the Best, Noman
.......................................................................................
...and thanks, ScottRa, I have looked at the Hellboy "collected" edition - but it's just not for me.
Doesn't mean I won't be pleased if I got the Hellboy LE - I'd just trade it for Sam Ray or a 2000AD Unique or Danger Girl or Kabuki unless I already had the rest. Hmmmm, maybe I could trade it for Nightcrawler...
Instead of european, it seems to me it's a UK set. If we do get those boosters in France, it won't make much sense since 2000AD has never been distributed in my country (only a happy few know those comics), while a Top Cow character like Darkness is quite popular among youngsters... Even Crossgen is better distributed!
Originally posted by GMSLegion Noman, even that wouldn't work, because I'd sell my own mother for a Robot Archie clik. While I'm at it, I'd also like Adam Eterno, the Leopard from Lime Street, the Steel Claw, Cursitor Doom, Spellbinder, the Blue Wizard, Oakman, Tanya and Mytek the Mighty.
Ooh yes, the Steel Claw - it's all coming back to me. But you are so right about Robot Archie and I'll top your bid by throwing in my sister too. I'd especially like to see the psychodelic version which appeared in the Zenith strip in 2000AD - Mad Metal Archie! The licensing ought to be a done deal because of this. Archie started in Lion which was Fleetway which did 2000AD, right?
In the meantime, I suppose we'll have to make do with mods of Ultron. Has anyone made a Robot Archie click yet?
Hey, Thunderbolts, keep playing, we'd hate to lose you...
Heh thanks... I still follow the game via the web, but everywhere that used to run HEroclix that I know have changed over to Mechwarrior permanently, or Shadowrun, or whatever the 'nyoo kool' game of the moment is.
As far as Indy goes I only wanted about 3 figs anyway (cheapest 2000AD fig, cheapest Crusade fig, and Shi - team ability copy and th fact Shi is awesome in the game). Shouldnt be that hard to get on eBay....

>Archie started in Lion which was Fleetway which did 2000AD,
>right?
Except Rebellion now own all the rights to 2000AD + characters, which is who I assume WK got the rights from (Although it's possible that some of the cross-over characters from Zenith may make an appearance, so Mad Metal Archie is possible Chikka-chikka-chikka)
No temper tantrum here, but I'm definitely among the people who believe splitting the set this was a poor idea. It hasn't been received well.
Doing it on the basis of popularity/distribution isn't ample justification in a game where very often some of the most playable figures aren't personal favorites. Besides, while more available, the Crossgen characters are probably just about as unknown to a great many US comics fans as the 2000AD ones are.
I haven't reviewed the figure stats with this in mind, but I'll be interested to see people put together teams using the US-exclusive vs the UK-exclusive clix and see what each side has to offer in terms of the game.
Beyond all that, the 2000AD figs - as characters - are much more familiar and of interest to me than the Crossgen and Danger Girl lots. The 2000AD and Hellboy are the only figs - again, as characters - I'm interested in.
With DC and Marvel inaugural sets being so much larger, does this approach to Indy mean that they've determined that a 96-fig set is much more cost-effective for them to produce? Given the different packaging and regional shipping issues, I can't help but think it would have been a better business plan to make it one, large set.
I agree with the onle large set idea. Both the marvel and DC base sets had more than 96 figs, why should this one be any different. It's as thought they already consider it less important. I would be much more likely to buy a case if I knew there were 120 different figs I would get. As it is anyone getting a case will get ALOT of the same figs. Bad Call Wizkids.
