With the addition of Mercenary 'units' to this poll, are we to assume that some sort of 'factional' ability is to come? Or at least, the ability to use formations?

Otherwise, we would look rather silly running individual units all over the map... imagine, 8 raiden BA trying to fight as a cohesive unit. :confused:

Well, I voted Wolf's Dragoons, anyway - being hopeful. ;) They would stomp all over just about any opponent, if you go by the background material.

Enough of my rambling - do we get Merc formations?

I'd love to see SS vs. SH.

In regards to merc campaigns, there are so few merc minis available, and by their nature their combat actions are tied to those of another faction. It'd be nice to see them used in conjunction with a smaller faction, though.

Steel Wolves were not among those listed. They need a three month campaign event.

I don´t know, and even if I did, if I told you, I would have to kill you ;-)

Besides, we are talking about campaign focus - no one forces you to play 100% faction pure in most campaigns.

The Stormhammers are due a campaign. They have been out for two expansions now (three once Counter Assault hits the shelves). Liao has been out for one expansion and has had two campaigns.

Let's see a Stormhammer vs. ROTS campaign!

While I understand that the main focus of the game is the Faction VS Faction story lines, doesn't it seem odd that the republic has only fought back against these factions a couple of times. I think that with the release of Counter Assult, just like its name sake, the Republic should unleash the full might of its army (even if it is only about 300 knights and some militias), and defend itself in a few campains.

Stormhammers vs Highlanders! I would recommend this be vs RotS, but they already have a LOT of LEs, and we need a few more decent units to re-garrison Northwind . . . .

I am shocked that ALL factions were not listed. We seem to see ENOUGH of WizKids bias towards THEIR faves. I did not expect to see it here, as well. I am sick of DF, HL, SC, and Liao in any format, any function. I could hurl at those names being mentioned! And, I mentioned them! ARGH!

StormHammers! Now if only they'll release the Fafnir. We'll be in business.

The only reason some factions were left out were because they have already been featured in more then 2 campaigns. Simple as that. What does this have to do with bias ?

I am glad you posted this poll, stormfox, instead of me. I hate it when I post what I think is an interesting poll and find out it's a landslide ;)

I have to admit, I think the odds are pretty good that WizKids will fit in a Stormhammers campaign or two next year with this much of a lead.

Its a good bets its going to be a ROTS vs SH campaing.
Perhaps a ROTS smackdown on the SH for the invasion of Towne? Now THAT would work wonders on the Comstar newsite... or perhaps a second invasion of Towne... :D

Heh, bannson won 1 campaign, the other 2 they were shafted because of SC and SS...hmmmmm, anyone see a trend? bannson shuld have won all 3 of their camps. they went aginst the SS in a deseret...SS shuld have overheated by being their, and the SC invaded their home planet!!!! hello they shuld have at leats 600 pts. on field at one time because The Scourge are bannsons Personal Guard, and they have the best equeptment money can buy(even though the only GOOD Scourge mechs ar Uns/LEs) bannson needs to send ALL his units to take Tybolt back, and outreach just for fun:p

Anyway if Bannson were on the poll I would have voted for them, but they arnt so i voted for Wolfs Dragoons Because they are THE best Merc unit of all time in CBT, eventhough they got smeared by WoB, Read their Bio on com star... here is who i think they shuld go aginst:
