I hadn't thought of the potential abuses of a chess clock. In fact I didn't realize what you were talking about until you explained the deal with moving instead of fighting (eMouse). That's a good point. this post has, however, brought out other interesting discussion.
I like the idea of a turn clock.. limit the time allowed on a turn.

Not really. It's all a matter of discipline; sure, they may be in there every day, but an LE is only around once a month.
Japanese Girls are raised to respect others mind. For in a mind is the capacity to make money, and thus bring great honor onto a family.
"Geek's" are the embodyment of intelligence, and imagination, and creativity. A valuable national resource.
Heck, dont beleive me if you dont want too, but Girls here worship big fat men who bump into each others bellys, slap themselves arround, and try to grab each others oversizes underwear.
Um.. what venue are *you* hanging out in? I spent a year in Korea, and plenty of time in Japan, and I saw so few "fat" asians it was ridiculous. I hung out with the young crowd, as I was young at the time as well. I don't recall but maybe seeing one or two "large" asian fellows in my time there.
Is this a special "fat geek" club or something? :p

I've never been there, so I'll take your word for it. It's just definitely different from my experience here in the US. I know enough about Japanese culture to know that it's very different from US culture.
My original response to your post was meant jokingly.
Stalling? I used to stall. I think that I once took a 5 minute turn. When I stalled, my turns were usually 2-4 minutes, 5 minutes being the longest, not 15-30. I would hate to play people who stall like that.
Adding the factor of a clock would be like simply adding another condition. VC4; Battle Efficiency: "For every minute remaining on their clock (rounded down), give each player 1 VC4 point." Wheee. . . Sounds. . .fun. Another condition to coplexify the game.
Hmm... a 4th VC.. I hadn't seen that anywhere else in the thread, but it could be there. That isn't a terrible idea IMO, because it at least penalizes people who are taking more than their fair share of the time. You should be rewarded in some way for taking less time than your opponent does :)
