My favorite factions to collect are SC,SW,SS and Mercs. Though my main is Spirit cats.

Two (main) Rots (?) and DF, I also keep mercs handy as they were needed to fill in my Rots lineup from time to time, and I always SAID I would collect JF since they are the faction I first played in this universe (waaayyyy back in MW on the PC...the first un..lol) but I have not and now I will wait and see what happens over the course of the next year, as the Kuritans are looking mighty good to me as of now and I may go that way...time will tell

I am now only collecting BR.

I did try for SC and ROTS as well but could not keep up with all the releases so am now just collecting BR, but no Liao.

I also go for pieces I like but will fight to get all BR pieces from any set.

Collecting them all, I would really like to get complete sets, but with "special offer LEs" this is quite a task. I try to play all of them in equal measures and mostly faction pure to learn and cope with their various weaknesses although I sure dislike the current Steel Wolves. Once House Kurita comes I may focus on them and the Republic although deep in my heart of hearts I always liked House Davions since the Warrior-trilogy.

I started off with collecting them all, but by the time we got to the Liao Incursion set I just couldn't afford to do that any more. I've gone done to collecting just 3 factions; SW, SC, and JF plus getting the few pieces from other factions that you just gotta have.

I tend to mostly play Spirit Cats, but once in a while I like to play with what I like to call "The fun lovin' criminals", Liao and Bannson Raiders.

Well... lets see there is the Wolves, the Cats, the Raiders, Fury, Falcon, and of course Highlanders. The Wolves was my start and then I went to the others. I've managed to get a complete set of Atlases and Mad Cats. My main faction now is Highlanders, been collecting them for the longest time but now they are coming in as a real force to recon with.

I started off with BR because I liked the tan-blue paint scheme. Ater I got to about 10,000 points, I started in with the Liao faction. I felt like I could have more variety in my games if I bought into the Mercenaries. Still not content, I am now dabbling in the Highlanders. Current totals:
BR 11,000
Liao 3,000
Merc 2,000
HL 1,500
But with AOD, it could all be ending.......

BR, SC, DF, SS, RS, Li, JF plus a few select mercs and HL
so I guess that's 7.

I really only collect 2 - SS and ROTS. But I have piles of other stuff too, particlulary lately. And of course, I'll be able to say 'pretty much every faction' when I win my AoD set at the pre-release :D.

Two at the moment: SH and HL. Like to have the option to switch between high attack builds and high defense builds, depending on my mood.

I claim 4, right now. At one time, DA thru DFA, I had every piece, but I gave alot away, and focused on my main ones, Wolf and RotS. Now I also collect Mercs and Falcons, tho I do like to keep at least a representative of each unit, no matter the faction. Bring in the True Wolf Clan, and then you'll have another HAPPY MechWarrior!
Oh, and I have at least one of each unit from each of those Factions. That may not mean much, but I love this game. Oh, and 2 Auroras. So, I guess I collect "Dropship Faction", as well! haha

I voted for all, but that is for Pre-AoD. I doubt I'll pick up more than a starter @ the pre-release and maybe a few boosters after that. Sorry Wiztopps, your merry go round of the Battle Tech universe has worn on me.

I collect two factions : Spirit Cats and Highlanders. I also collect some of the most interesting Mercenary figures to acheive the best possible results.

I like the Spirit Cats for their deep dials (the famous "cats' nine lives") but they lack decent transports. With AoD, I might start to use Steelwolves transports and units instead of Mercenary.

I like the Highlanders for their high defense values.

Unfortunately for my wallet and storage room I try to collect 1 of every figure.

However, I only play with any regularity: SSw, now Davion, SH, now Steiner, and the Highlanders. I guess I prefer a challenge and I like the CBT fictions for Steiner-Davion.
