Ranna was Phelan's trainer and lover (and maybe even saKhan, or junior Khan, though I'm thinking I'm wrong there). However, compared to Phelan, not so famous...Phelan got a lot of book time and the like; Ranna, not as central.
Honestly, I can't think of another decent WiE candidate. At least, not one as famous as Phelan.
The only reason that you're the only one to have noticed that is because it's not true. You're just trying to spread rumors. The "VTOL" 'Mech is mounted on a 'Mechbase, no doubt about it. How the hell do you even want to put a heat dial on an infantry base? There won't be room left for anything else!
Not trying to spread rumors, just temporarily a moron. Sorry, I was way sleep deprived at the time. It was the scale of the bases in the pic (the HL big mech next to the jumping mech) that confused me. I just assumed the heat dial was shrunk as well. Guess I was too tired to think straight.

I would like to remind you all that the single most (in)famous Mechwarrior of the Wolves was dispatched by Khan Ulric Kerensky to accompany Phelan Kell, and though she did return and died fighting the Jade Falcon Mechwarrior Joanna...she was NOT at the battle where Khan Ulric Kerensky fell, which is used as the mark of the start of Wolf in Exile..
I am speaking, of course, of The Black Widow herself, Natasha Kerensky. She is also the only one who was known for a particular mech in the Clans. Even Phelan, despite his Wolfhound IIC, was known for jumping from mech to mech as it suited him, while the Black Widow only used 3 mechs in her whole 80 years...Her original Marauder(stolen by the Bounty Hunter), a Warhammer(which she stole from the bounty hunter), and a Direwolf(Her own configuration, which until her death no-one dared use for fear of her coming after them in a Trial of Grievance, and even then is rarely seen used outside of Clans Wolf). Admit it: a Dire Wolf, with Natasha Kerensky as the pilot...would that not just make everyone happy?
Definitely want to see the Black Widow, in either the Daishi or Warhammer - without a doubt, the most famous member of the CBT universe.
Based on the winged helmet head, I think the jumping mech is either a Hermes or Hermes II, but modified with a different weapons configuration. What's interesting is that the medium Hermes II was primarily a Free Worlds League/House Marik mech, IIRC... The original light Hermes was a Star League design that ComStar used extensively. Either way, interesting...

Things happen. Your previous post did make me compare the base of an infantry unit with the base of a 'Mech to make sure you weren't right about it.

If it's a good counter for that accursed Black Rose Shrike, it would most certainly make me happy. Like a ghost from the past, coming to hunt the Jade Falcon...

I could see Natasha Kerensky and her Direwolf now:
+2 Speed, -1 Defense, +3 Attack (She was known for her fast strike tactics, her mechs usually got shot up rather badly, and she was officially the only -1 Gunner EVER in Battletech)
Special Ability: The Black Widow(Optional): She may use the Run Option when making a ranged combat Assault Order, with no extra heat for the Run. When using this option, all 1's on the attack roll become 6s before determining if the attack is a critical hit or critical miss. Whenever a critical hit is scored on a single opposing unit, you may take 3 clicks of heat and eliminate that unit.
OR:
The Black Widow(Optional): Upon a successful range combat attack, she may make an extra attack of the same type(Primary or Secondary) at a cumulative +1 to the targets Defense. All special equipment applies to this second attack, and if this attack succeeds, another attack may be made.
Total cost of the Natasha Kerensky in her Dire Wolf: 400 points before any Gear. Either of those abilities very much seem to match the infamouse Black Widow, though the second one would probably be a better match.
still 2 get back on topic kinda, i wonder if those cards will become available at conventions instead of buying a starter, cause face it by now most of us bought one and some who hadnt might ve bought the advanced starter, im not going to pay 30 euro just 2 get 4 new cards (presumably, HK, RD, RotS and mystery faction merc contract)
that would be atleast 6 months 8 even, mm i think some people would just color copy it (or print the image on a card)
personally i think they should be easier to obtain since Kurita and Republic should indeed have one (i doubt any clan getting one) since there arent much republic mechs the knights can choose from if you want to play them in different mechs.
