FRICKIN SWEET . As for the comment about the WH kicking ROTS butt...well, all I saw was a a lot of posturing by the puppies while the ROTS was handing them their butts on a silver platter (see Madcat), but that's just my humbe biased opinion lol.

Yep, I believe I saw one of the WH pilots eject after the Republic Atlas blew the
peewads out of his ride! :p
In the infamous words of Darth Vader "Most Impressive", but you are not a movie yet. :p The trailer goes along way to show what they can do with the movie, so major cudos to the group for their work. Now I'm sure the acting will be subpar to effective, but we'll see. The only thing that will really help is a good script to put it together. I have to say they are starting on a really great foot. I hope this pans out really well or I 'll just have to watch it with sound turned off.
Also I like the fact they stay to the actual looks of what the fans know, not deviating the way a "Hollywood" crew would design all new mechs with no factual background. However I wish they would (and this goes for all the game footage movies also) quit having the pilots wearing helicopter flight helmets and design something more interfacial or futuristic. The Tatoos some of the calns use or some kind of neuralogical wiring to give the look that the pilot is a part of the machine. (thats just my 2 cents of nitpicking). I 'm really excited.

But it looks like the WH drop ship was going to drop 8 - 32 more Jackalopes on the ROTS. The movie showed 8 in a bay, with a possible 4 bays full of them. Talking about a swarm tactic.
Jackalopes can pack in 6 at a time on one pod of an Aurora class Dropship. thats two full companies of mechs.... WOw....
interestingly enough, the doors on the aurora open nothing like the table top miniature does. the upper door is actualy two speperate moving parts.
the thunderfox has to ability to walk 'sideways' to keep it's rear from being a target.
we see briefly. an overloard class dropship lifting off.. just before the new looking Atlas tears apart a Madcat II
i noted: at least 2 Magonel, 1 Madcat Mk IV, 1 Battlemaster, 2 Thunderfoxes, Tukogawa's, a morningstar, hoards of Oni Ba's, an Overlord Dropship, an Aurora Dropship, a MadCat MkII, 4 Yasha Vtols, and one really pissed off looking Atlas.
looks good guys. now lets see how much other stuff can be seen. WolfHunters against RotS is fine and dandy, but their far frm the ONLY factions in the universe.
A few notes:
The only ROTS forces seen:
one Overlord dropship escaping.
two Thunderfoxes
Mobile HQ
Exarch Levin's Atlas (also a difficult role to fill will be the exarch)
WH forces:
Angerona Battle Armor
Mangonel (x2)
multiple Jackalopes
Tokugawa tanks
Yasha VTOL
"Alpha" Mad Cat IV
and the destroyed Battlemech was a Mad Cat III (I slowed it to frame-by-frame)
Will we see WH Mangonel's, MAD Cat III's, Angerona BA and Tokugawa's? Only time will tell.
I fear greatly that anyone that they try and place in the role of Anastasia Kerensky will come off as less than perfect.
They after all, it requires a neuro-helmet just to get the bloody things to walk upright.
Heh. This reminds me - when I was interviewing for a robotics job recently, I ended up talking about this with a friend of mine who works for the company. His reaction to the whole neurohelmet thing was to wonder why they'd come up with that when a thumb-sized sensor that costs less than a buck can already handle all the same balance-feedback that the human inner-ear can ;)

Correction:
I acknowledge a Battlemaster as well. It appeared to not be in Wolf Hunter colours, but more black and red. Perhaps a GSer?

Another examination (I really should get my facts straight...)
The Battlemaster appears to be in veteran ROTS colours, and torso-twists to target one of two passing WH Tokugawa tanks. That would leave AK surrounded by three targets, all 'Mechs. Can anyone say, "With a Vengeance"?
Obvious who's going to be piloting "Alpha" but who is going to be piloting the red Atlas. From the one cutscene to the dark skinned mechwarrior I would venture a guess that it will be Raul Ortega.
Would be much of a stretch storyline wise. Maybe the Wolf Hunters have returned to Achernar to get control of the HPG.
Raul was hispanic, the guy that theys how is of african decent, though I think he is the pilot of the Atlas, and the colors aren't right for Solitude so its probably not the Exarch, after all, he dosen't have the only Atlas in the RAF.
Good point when you consider the knight symbol on the inside of the mech and on the Atlas leg denotes he's a Paladin. There's no way Raul would have made Paladin so my bad. Would have been a nice plot though.
Well there are 13 Paladins, if you count the Ghost Paladin. Janella(so I have been told, I haven't read the book where she supposedly becomes one) the Paladin with Julian in Fotress Republic, and I forget the others we have seen. Thats two Paladins that are female, so they can't be the Atlas driver. Do we know who replaced Victor and Jonah? I don't know weather or not Jonah can hold both his Paladinship and the Office of Exarch at the same time. I know The Federated Suns, not the RoS.
Or, maybe, MWDA has decided to be (shock, horror) realistic and acknowledge that predictable arc does NOT equal harder to hit...
Except that once buffeting from air resistance, wind, recoil, and shockwaves from explosions are factored in, jumping no longer guarantees a "predictable" arc.
Plus the entire sequence of jump, flight arc, and landing all take place within the same game turn, simultaneous with weapons fire.
And we ALL know just how terribly accurate the weapons are in this universe....
(Using the word "realistic" within the context of this game universe...? Uh, right. :) )
the CG just looks "wrong" to me. I just hope that's not going to be the final outlook/quality of the film. But if a trailer was meant to impress and beckon me to watch the movie, well that failed :)
