I really like the special ability of the pilot of Matchstick. Being able to heat up a target by two is awesome! I would probably arm Improved Targeting-L on the mech and make it a great sidekick to a larger mech. In my opinion, this is a very dangerous mech.
My new favorite is Gwin Fetladral and her Unique Wulfen. Man, its a different type of Beagle Active Probe on a ranged weapon! That is great synergy with the mech since Light Mechs are supposed to help out the rest of the army.
More unit stats pretty please! WK is so slow with theirs :-)
I can not remember call sign, but he finished 3rd at last years Worlds Unrestricted, Nathan? (a cousin of Kurt’s) and another player from last years Worlds Unrestricted whose name escapes me.
Kurt's cousin plays regularly at the venue in Birmingham. He's pretty good for a new player! I don't think his name is Nathan, though . . .
Anyway, sorry to interrupt the previews. Thanks for the info, Viktor. Stats on!

If this does not line up right please forgive me, not use-to posting unit stats.
Takar out…
christ man stop complaining, its a light- slap evade and the pilot on it and you have 22 DV vs ranged, not a bad DV. All of you kurita players have got so used to complaining that you even complain when you get a decent unit. Its for support, not tanking it out with other mechs.
i don't know about you... but i would like mechs that i DIDN'T have to blow 33pts and a slot on evade. i rather focus on something more important like suport, Damage CEC's, or something else entirely. ...... as is, with all the merc prides floating about lately, that evade is near useless. +2 defense against raged does nodda when your opponent just negates it anywho.
That Vixen does look pretty nifty. The 0/16 is great but I anticipate some cries of "unfair" when it's previewed if these stats are true. The PPC Cap boosts that damage so a little 117 point unit can inflict a whopping 5 damage out to 16" with a maximum 23" assault range (11 + 3 = 14 / 2 = 7).
As a Cat player, I'm pretty excited by it. More pure energy goodness. So what do you put on it? Evade or Improved Targeting? Kelly for 48 or Millhew for 26?
It has the better defense and paired with a RISC APM PHI for its hop-over-the-wall assault then it should be pretty intimidating.

You do realize that majority of Light mechs do not have evade on the dial? And that the majority of light mechs have defenses around 19 and 20? So why should Matchstick get special treatment?
So let's say that evade is built in, just for the first click. would that make you happy. But wait the cost of the unit just went up. So now it's an even more expensive light mech that is still negated by Merc Pride. Or that it has a 20 def. Again it cost more. Want the cost to be same? Drop a damage value by 1, or add in a yellow heat effect. the point is, that a unit must have some weaknesses, and it must have some strengths. I think that Matchstick is a balanced unit and it is an interesting play. It's not top-tier competitive, but neither are 95% of the other units, so hey what can any of us do.
The beauty of this game is that you can decide not to put Evade on the dial and put Pulse or Inferno ammo or whatever as a gear, and I can put evade on the dial. then, you each play to how you customized the mech. it allows for almost too many combinations of armies and tactics. You can play Matchstick (or any other mech) with your preferred gear/pilot load out, and I can play it a totally different way with a totally different loadout, and we can both have fun at it.
On topic:
Thanks Takar for the stats. you're the greatest(well unitl WS hits the streets:p ). I really like the CNC Vixen stats...a little better than the CJF PHX and a nice complement to the CNC PHX or the Vet NC (TSEMP). And Kotch, I think the max range is 25 ( (11+3)/2=7. 7 +16+ 2 for FP)

I think the max is 27, +2 for RISC overcharger, unless your counting that already.
Wizkids started their list with legendary pilot #
L-054 for Gray Hunter. Now there is 2 L-054 with Jonah Levin and Gwin Fetladral. L-055 goes with Matchstick, L-056 with Starke, L-057 with Fireheart, L-058 with the Beast. Needless to say all Cynthia Kellys (BR) will be package with Fireheart (Liao) and the Liao pilot will probably be packaged with the Beast which is Bannson's. There are going to be another set of these pilots from L-070 to L-077 for tournaments or storylines. They also have 2 GS-061 now with One eye Jack and Alan Pliskin.
