I don't think that any figures need be banned but maybe if Magic Levitation was reworded so that it can't be used cummulativly on one figure ie. you should not be able to field a half dozen technomancers to fire a minotaur warrior 20 inches and then ram something twice and return to the center of the technomancers, that is just not fun to play against

The responses have been very helpful. My point wasn't to start a crusade to get figures banned. My point is to figure out how to run a tournament that forces people to use figures that aren't number-crunched to death. I'm happy to say that I've figured out a way to do it (without banning anything).

So, for those people who will be at Origins, I'd encourage you to to drop by and check out the scene on Friday afternoon and evening. I'm going to try to arrange for all prominent MKREalmsers, including as many Mods as I can find, to drop by to meet everyone else. It should be pretty easy to find me, I'll be wearing some sort of sports jersey (probably a Michigan football jersey, just to piss off the locals). See you all there!

All the kidding and such aside, this has been a fun thing to watch, great because we all know and are assured that no figure will be banned. It is interesting to see what people want to ban. My impression is that most people want to see more variety in armies. Go with theme armies and go for fun outside of the tournaments. Take a really bad army and go lose for the fun of it, and to annoy your opponents. Have a sense of humour.

Uh i don't think anything useful is going to come from this but no one should ban any figure, and if you are running a turonment that you don't want certen stuff being in then make a Scenario for it.

i think not to ban any fig, this is an "army" we're talkin here not a card games, i mean it's what makes the game unique and fun to play with, different armies, different stlyles of playin :cool:

I find it hilarious that people are still consistently responding with "No figures should be banned" despite Maximillion specifically requesting that people not do that.

banning is a good thing. in magic cards are banned because they see too much play because they are too good. banning keeps more people playing magic than wanting to quit. people quit magic for different reasons, mainly because they have noone to play with or lost interest due to seeing the same thing over and over or because they found something new. in mageknight it is no different, if you see the same over powered figure or combination of figures over and over you will quit because it is repetitive and boring. i dont think there is a figure that deserves banning, especially not LEs just because you have to earn them (yes, even on ebay i consider that earning since you earned the money to buy it, but not as much as actually winning it). how could you reward good players with better equipment that is essentially available to everyone, ebay, then say "oh you cant use it because its too strong, were just giving it to you to tease you." if you want that good figure dont whine about it because you dont have it and others do, save your money and go get one.

Banning is a stupid idea beacause,you can beat the figs any way the game is strategy use it. You have to think to play not look at the others persons army and say "thats impossible to beat" just play the game out,its a game,you have to except losing. You cant tell if youll win or not at the beggining of the game. I play M:tg too and they banned cards and it sux,plainly said. People hate blue in M:tg,but there is way to beat it. People dont like shades in M:tg but ,but there is a way to beat them.(i play U/B:D ) There is a way to beat figs any way,dont ban stupid idea. If figs are too overplayed then let them be they will get old soon (prob i might get flamed for that). If i had to say i didnt like one figure it would be Zombie baron but i can beat it with my fanged gunslinger,
