Originally posted by Olan Hmmm... guys, I would like to take this opportunity to make an important correction on this thread's subject...
KI isn't gonna die... coz they're dead already.
Exactly.....that was my point in the first post I made on this thread. I love KI, but for all intents a purposes, KI has been killed off when 2.0 comes out. There will be no future KI figures!
What is left are the memories of historical KI characters/figures. I'm sure that the remaining KI will either become part of the Elven Lords or the Free Armies.....or whatever its called.
I guess my predictions weren't obvious enough.....lol
jaysa, still has problems with red leeches on her sword and she's still cleaning it up. so she can't be in that battle!
jamus is still sniffing his bong around castle rivvenheim.
yoloria, is at the convent. praying for jamus to get out of his addiction.
elrooden lightfoot is in the barn, taking care of his horse for 2.0
geddion is still trying to look for ways with the blacksmith to make his "blade" longer.
erithia is trying to cover her tracks for being a wench in a local redlight district. if one of her 4 brothers knew about her sideline job, and they are coming... she'll be screwed!
oren is a grumpy man, probably sitting in a corner of castle rivvenheim.
so see? the notable heroes and uniques are still there... alive and doing something else.
You can strike out anybody as long as you like. But I think not all of the KI will go down without a fight. As previosly stressed, its bad for the business, and if it would ever go down as a faction melts away, so follow the other factions. Just as the dragons and dinosaurs were wiped out of the face of the earth.
The "Knights Immortal" are wiped out. I believe that many people here are confusing the KI with the elves in general. Since the Knights Immortal are destroyed, the elves will now send out the more powerful Elven Lords. Think of the KI as a unit of sorts sent out by the elves, not as the elven race themselves.

That is what I've been trying to say.......
Thank you for translating my thoughts Lawn_Gnome! I speak a very different language, and you expressed what I was saying very well!
The KI is no more dead then the BPR is its just a name change like the BPR is now the Black Powder Revolutionaries The Knight Imortal is now the Elven Lords thats all
I had the impression that it was simply a name change.. ANd I must agree that given the entries in the scrying chamber, that the KI element of MK is far from dead. While I can see a new alliance forming between the remains of the Elemental League and the new KI subfactions, I do not see this as the KI dying, anymore than the Necropolis Sect are dead.. I mean folks are not freaking out that the NS are now being called the Dark Crusade, nor are they claiming that is a 'new' faction because of the name change.. So why are the KI any different. From what all I have seen, the KI are going to be major players in 2.0, so to say they are dead now.. is a bit.. premature. If nothing esle, look at the 2.0 Demo kit.. KI Elven Lords vs Orc Khan troops.. No undead, no golems.. Elves and orcs.
With the Atlanteans suddenly pulling out of the battle in Khamsin, double-timing back to the capitol city of Atlantis as fast as they can march, the Knights Immortal are faced with a situation unlike any they’ve been before. Betrayed by their allies at the hour of triumph, the Knights Immortal suddenly found themselves outnumbered more than ten to one by the vengeful Rebels. Having already ordered the destruction of every Rebel city in town for fifty miles, and having singled out most of the older city buildings with fire attacks out of pure spite, the Knights Immortal find themselves with a peculiar choice: withdraw to save their lives at the cost of their honor, or stand and fight and be destroyed to the last warrior.
In time, the High Elves made their choice, and I watched all night with fascination as the Knights Immortal armies at Khamsin prepared to fight and die with honor.
one question.. why didn't the atlantians stay so we could eliminate the rebellion once and for all? If they wanted to betray us why didn't they do it right and slaughter us after the rebels were defeated?
Doesn't sound like a good betrayal strategy to me...
