All I know is this: they won't change anything on "Widowmaker" and Natasha without anything short of an actual lynch mob going to WK hq and burning the entire staff in effigy in the front parking lot complete with marshmallow and wienie roast on the burning pyres. *starts loading marshmallows and firewood in truck*.
Also, I'm drilling a hole in the back of YLH as soon as I get one so I can make it a Christmas ornament. That's the only rational reason why they painted it in those colors. Not a play piece but an ornament :ermm: really dropped the ball on this one......big time.
I don't know about everyone, but I agree. Even if they made them hugely expensive and as powerful as some want them to be, there are always the types that will play them.
I believe MtG has a name for that sort of player. In MWDA they were the players who would bring Jonah Levin or One-Eye Jack and play nothing else back in the days of the first set.
HAHAHA!Have you seen the stats for the new Jona and one-eyed-Jack!? Those same people are still playing these 2 pieces! newer designs, but just as hard to battle against!  (J/K)

The game has changed. Except for the "take Jonah, kill an infantry and hide in deep water" strategy (that caused deep water to be removed from tournament play), one big unit was sure to lose against decent opposition. Today, the game is different and it can be a tactic.
Wizkids will not FAQ this pilot. The FAQ is reserved for errors in printing, pieces that unbalance game play and clarifying rules. This card falls under none of the above. Kelly said this card is exactly as she planned it and she gave a very good statement on why she made it this way. SP13 has posted a statement as well over on the Wizkids site. No amount of discussion or anything else is going to change this card.
As a Clan Wolf player, a guy who collets CBT TROs, reads the novels and enjoys the fluff I think the card should stay as is. Other than “fluff” there is nothing remotely “wrong” with the card and we do not need to clog up the FAQ with pilot recruit costs for “fluff” reasons.
Personally I really liked Kelly’s explanation on why the card was made this way. It is Natasha not at any one point in her life. She pilots the Mech she did for Clan Wolf (this pays respect to her CW past). She can be recruited to any faction which gives the nod to her Merc past. When you combine both of these you get a nice historically accurate to Natasha through out her life. We may not agree with this but this is what got. Over all this is a very good unit, it adds to the fluff by being one of the most historically accurate pieces in the game and gives everyone something to play. Not to mention its FREE prize support! What is there not to like!
I would love to see a poll question like this- “Would you support an entry in the FAQ changing Natasha’s pilot card to a 0 recruit for Clan Wolf and NO recruit for Clan Jade Falcon?
Contrary to some people’s belief, I believe the majority of players would not support changing this card with an entry in the FAQ.
tried going up against refuge /w pilot, command retrofit & merc pride ... that hurt my 24 decoy HL anubis' plenty :)
Because power creep hurts game play. It means that older units can't be used as effectively. i think it would be a shame if we started to see 14 AV be common. It would put the final nail in the coffin for using pre AOD uniques.
Also, refuge with pilot and command retrofit is like 450 points. Thats not much less than an ares...
