The most cards you will have by turn 3 is your initial 6, plus 2 draw rounds... and maybe a few more... subtract 5 for your 3 resources and 2 characters... you will have about 5 or 6 cards in hand... not eight.
And you don't have any other characters to play since it is round three, and you already have a three in play. And from the original challenge it states "Your remaining hand can include anything you want. Your opponent has only one character, of your choice, to defend with after both build phases are over." so you have no characters to play since you played your Darkoth this turn.
So the more I look at this, the mroe I am sure it is the excessive numbers that seem wrong.
Now if I am mistaken I eagerly await the explainations, but it might really sour me to some of the mechanics I thought were so well balanced originally.
Bullseye....first, there are eight cards to work with in your scenerio....the 3 resources can be usable plot twist...and like i said before, there isnt an unbalance in game mechanics---this is just an unreasonable way to get a lot of possible damage.....and it is 100% legal to get over 1000, even with the restrictions set in the contest.
Agreed on the 8, but we also know that 2 of those are pretty set in stone for this if you want maximum yield, and the third will be gone due to Darkoth eventually, limiting the level of PTs that can be played on his attack.
Also note... if any of this crossed the line for fair discussion, someone please let us know and we can continue this with actual examples after the contest is done.
i dont know, i think the contest should be allow you to manupilate either all 3 turns build phase, or only let you go with turn 3 attack phase with 5 cards in hand and 3 resources, its highly not logical to let you manipulate first 2 turns but not 3rd turns build...
you are allowed to manipulate the 3rd turn build....the only stipulation is that when you are done with the build phase, those are your only 2 characters and your opponent only has 1
that means you can use an equip or whatever else you can come up with....but when you enter battle phase...im pretty sure you can just have those characters.
