Originally posted by Latuki Joe Well, I hope they get a new 7 drop at least. Who'd be fit? Arkham can't just go killing its 7 to bring out its 8... That's... insanity!
Yes insanity that is what Arkham is all about! Muhahahaha. No seriously this card will win lots of games and has great synergey with the Arkham disruption theme. Great card!
Well at least he has really cool picture. :) And I am sure someone will eventually device some weird combo deck around him just like they did with rigged elections.
Hmm, I'm thinking of a Clone Saga deck using Madam Web, Rogue, Mimic, 4 Overpowered, some draw power, and lots of defense w/ Pleasant Distractions, Spider Senses, etc. Along w/ a Puppet Master for some more help, and 7 Drop Spiderman gets through turn 7. Then turn 8 While something exhausts/distracts their 8 Drop, Joker Hits 7, Spiderman hits 6, Mimic hits 5, etc. Also thought about Garth, since I'm not sure what else to put at 5, and he could work w/ 7 Dorp Spiderman, Overpowered, etc. Then again, I have done 0 testing.
For straight Arkham, stick to Etrigan/Apocalypse >_>. In Mono-AI, the Emperor Joker's main job is, if having even, discarding for 7 Drop joker turn 8 >_<

Or you could cut the bad cards, and just use (insert large character here) and win by endurance. Simpler solutions are always better.

Well, yes and no. Even casually, you'll have an awkward time pulling the alternative win off. Which is sort of sad considering that this version of Mr. J is doomed to slip in the far reaches of our minds once the novelty wears off.
THIS is the real difference that matters between those who are strictly competitive (few and far between) and those who are casual at least some of the time (I think most players fit best here).
This is a fun card and these are fun deck ideas and yet guys like Entity, and this isn't a knock on you E, are unable to put aside that it doesn't seem like a deck that's gonna win and just have some fun with it.
That's okay, though. It's not like he came in here being an ass like some people might, he even dropped a hilariously well timed movie quote. :)
Anyway... Back on topic!
This guy does look like fun to build a deck around, but I'll wait for the rest of Superman to see what other kinds of deck destruction and burn is there to support his Majesty Mr. J before I'd go with Madame-Web and her Amazing Milling Mimics (And Rogues).
Well, you're certainly free to try him. I just think you'll be a little frustrated as Mr. J will affect fewer games than what he doesn't. This is honestly depressing when you have your cool milling deck which never gets an opportunity for a cool win.
Theres nor eason to play him in a regular AI beats deck. They dont have a character tutor so you might as well play an unaffiliated guy. 7 drop joker is good, REALLY good if you have the init so you don't want to go replacing him. However a discard deck with this new joker does seem like a lot of fun although it certainly won't be an arkham deck, it'll have to be a teamup and most likely a clone saga or sinister six deck.
