That name sounds familiar is that in or near Detroit, oh and I live in the Southwest Corner of Michigan, about 2 hours North of Chicago, and only a half an hour from South Bend Indiana.
Ever since I saw the 8 drop Emperor Joker, I wanted make a mill deck. I've read various articles about it and stuff, but I could hardly get it to work out. my fav attempt was AI/SS using sinister six for loyalty issues, sinister salvo and surprise attack for that extra push, and 7 drop green goblin for 13 mill. another version i never really tested was one that would copy that green goblin via Rogue PA and/or mimic. I think there's a couple of cards in MK that might be able to work a little better. oh well, back to the drawing board...

Verion of Emp Joker I'm currently running is Underworld/Spider-Friends
It uses Madame Web/Rogue/Mimic to do some milling. It uses the Daily Bugle [and occaisionally Infernal Gateway] to reuse Overpowered as well. With an alternate 6-drop of Mr. Freeze, plus 4 copies of the 8-drop Joker ... I have loyalty met one of three ways:
(a) AI character in KO'd pile + Hypnotic Charms
(b) Mr. Freeze in play
(c) Clone Saga
The endurance gain from the Madame + Spider senses helps to get to turn 8.
In addition there's Gravesites and Drac's castle for extra endurance [and Gravesite helps out Emp Joker HUGE]
The deck I ran before was the same idea for the Spider friends, but had Syndicate in their as well, to use Redemption + Dangerous Experiment to gain life until I get to 8, and then get my Overpowered's on 8 if they're needed. It also gave me Synister Six for loyalty of course.
A Brave and the Bold (Equipment) using the 3 drop Babs Gordon, Cyborg, a bunch of 0 equips, and the 7 drop Batman!
A New Gods/Darkseid's Elite combo that likes the even initiative thanks to Uxas. The deck comes complete with Reconstruction Programs, Astorforces, Armagettos, and Beta Clubs
Last but not least My Fantastic Spider-Friends build that has changed alot over the past 5 months. This deck utilizes M.J.+FNSM=card draw, Fantasticars, It's Clobber'n Times, Signal Flares, Twists of Fates, Spider Senses, Nice Trys, Stretch, 7 drop Spidey, and Clone sagas+Marvel Team Ups!
I have alot fun with these decks and they meta well!
I'm all for GOING ROGUE. The game isn't fun to me if you're just using someone else's build. I love making up decks and trying them out.
I've been working on a Darkseid & Doom teamup that I really would like to take to a PCQ. I'm still having consistency problems with it, though. It just doesn't seem to stand up to TT and CS very well. My fallback is a Team Superman very similar to ReconComics's version, but then it wouldn't be "my" deck.
I'd be happy if I could win with straight New Gods, Darkseid or a teamup between the two somehow. New Gods was my first interest when the set came out. Superman became my next interest and then Darkseid. I have yet to explore RS, but they don't seem all that interesting to me overall... except...
Somehow there may be a way to take advantage of Steppenwolf, Lex and Brimstone. On 5 play Steppenwolf. On 6 play Lex and use Steppenwolf to shut down reinforcement, paving the way for Lex. Turn 7 is Brimstone with a payment to KO a resource. Your opponent can't play a 7, and then they lose a resource so they won't be able to get to 8, either. Turn 8 is a Doomsday mopup.
The problem is you want even init. That means Steppenwolf is vulnerable to losing his counter on turn 5. So what is needed is finding a way to keep it for turn 6. Anyway, that's something in my thought process for trying out sometime.
