The back shot I got gave me the impression that it was a woman also, but the dialogue that they are giving Ronin doesn't fit Elektra. Nor does the misleading Manly Physique.

What manly physique? All I see is a ninja suit. It's covering up anything that could provide any clues as to the gender of the person underneath.

I'm guessing it's Elektra because it's someone that DareDouchebag trusts and it's someone that knows as much as he does. Plus, Brian Michael Bendis is writing the issues, and he's always been itching to use her in something. I wouldn't be surprised.

But I do agree with you on the dialogue. The last thing uttered by this Ronin was "I failed you." Elektra isn't one to admit defeat.

Shang Chi maybe?

Well the cover does make Ronin seem to be a guy. Though everything you mention about DD does point to Elektra it just isn't adding up yet. Also she does work for S.H.I.E.L.D. Though Shang Chi is a very good guess. The long hair might be a dead give away. To boot he's more honorable about his defeat, unlike a very cocky young ninja girl we know.

As I mentioned earlier, the manly physique is throwing me off, but if it is a female then Psylocke isn't a bad guess. Well except for the fact that Matt Murdock said he knew the person really well, and they knew all he knows doesn't make Psylocke such a believable option.

Although, if it is her then I expect some sort of background history between her and Murdock to explain.

hey did any one read issue 4 of Toxin son of CARNAGE he takes down both the Wrecker and Pildriver from the wreaking crew the same month the New Avengers were fighting the Wrecker and did the sentry kill carnage and i reckon Jessica Drew is working for shield still sent to spy on the avengers i also like how much wolverine gets smacked around

I read Toxin, decent book. The Wrecking Crew also recently fought the Thunderbolts but I'm unsure of the timelines for these three books.
Purple Man was part of the breakout, didn't escape, but showed up in Thunderbolts. Actually that might have been explained. Nevermind.
I haven't seen anything official that has said that Carnage is dead, but it would seem he's dead.

I'm hopin for Ronin to be Shang-Chi.

Toxin is derivative. We've seen it all before in the 90's with Maximum Carnage and Separation Anxiety. Marvel is trying to cash in further on the symbiote craze. We've seen enough alien costumes. Time to move on.

it could be DD. coz Cap hinted that he changed his identity to nomad and represented no country. he might be implying that DD should do the same thing as DD represented the people and ronin might only care for himself...just bold speculations :)

his stances and what not remind me alot of nightcrawler.. but having 5 fingers doesn't do much for it being him just reminds me of him with the eyes and stances

Its 99% Elektra because she's been hired by Kingpin b4 and cap was telling ronin 'what limited info he dug up about him/her makes him worry due to his/her previous associations with kingpin'. On the other hand it might just be DD...

I love the line-up. I also really enjoyed the Sentry storyline and this current one with Ronin. Not a huge (Original Universe) Marvel fan as I mostly ready DC and Ultimate Universe, but I do have to say that I look forward to reading this comic every month.

I see what you are saying, but it can't be DD. Cap would have no problems with his past or whatever. I mean, he's trying to recruit the guy.

The whole Elektra take seems to obvious. Though it does make sense. I'm just not willing to committ to her yet.

The only thing that's making me say for sure that it's Elektra is the dialogue. It just doesn't fit her. Every other hint that Marvel and Bendis has given us screams that it's her.

We're just going to have to hold our collective breath and wait until next issue.
